Hello everybody! From Juen , 2b geno
Here is an update on my treatment.
Started the dac/solvadi meds 9.4.16, -a month ago. Hep c 20 years +Hep c quantitation rna 31.3.16 was units iu/ml 1,420,000-Hep c log 10 value, units log 10=6.5
15.3.16 ast 67, alt was 89According to tests this month 9.5.16-
Pathology Qualitative estimation of HCVL RNA( viral load ) reads -‘Not detected’
And Ast 25 Alt 17So this is a good result I think /I hope!-with 8 weeks to go -finger crossed it , -the hep c , will disappear from my system forever!
Side effects are minimum ,- compared to what I imagined.
Insomnia, weakness, are the main, (had fatique , weakness before treament ) , I try and give the meds their best chance , so keep my diet healthy , for me means drinking lots fresh water, plenty of veg, fruit and excercise moderately daily , swimming /’water therapy’ is easiest to cope when tired!
Again I am so thankful to gp2u and hep c club for being here to help , by giving us great info , alternatives to often expensive and extremely conservative medical systems , -i.e drug treatment /$ choice , and great social support given by the forum folks!
I will update in a month again !
Best regards to allAttachments:13 May 2016 at 12:27 pm #17108Hello Juen,
Yes this is the expected result. The rest of the treatment should kill off the last few stragglers. BMS got 49/52 for SOF+DCV in GT2 so it is a good choice and avoids the ribavirin.
At the moment we have 100% so please don’t ruin the average!
YMMV

Great to see those good results. It sounds like you are doing everything right and reaping the rewards. Looking forward to seeing your next lot of results. Keep well. Coral
14 May 2016 at 8:19 am #17179Great post Juen … and brilliant results!
I’m on the same path as you … one day behind … still waiting for VL.
I too exercise every morning before taking the meds … I find that it sets me up for the day … I feel great afterwards and it ensures that I’m fully hydrated at the start of the day (I wake up with a dry mouth half the time).
Keep up the good work , and I look forward to seeing your SVR.
Cheers GT2

14 May 2016 at 10:10 am #17186Good to hear. I am sure you’ve got this nailed
I take my meds just before bed, so they can do their work while I’m lying around not doing anything. In the morning I swim in the ocean or go to a Yoga class
