    Hi Hope,

There’s plenty of those “against generics” doctors around!
    Know the feeling.

Glad you’re starting tx, it really works.

Good luck from another Ozzy. #flower :cheer:

    Hi guys/girls, I’m starting on Tuesday :)
Talked to dr.James and it helped a lot. Thank you for the suggestion ;)

I have one question for anybody that also had panic attacks and anxiety issues: did you stop drinking coffee? I stopped it 2 yearsago because it made me go crazy (until then I was drinking it like crazy :cheer: ).

Last time I took diapazem was 2 months ago when I bought a new coffee machine and drank coffe with only 1 percent caffeine in it and it made me half way to hell <img style=ick:' />

So, my question would be this: this buzzy, speedy feeling that some of you talked about, does it compare to drinking lots of cofee? Just so I’m prepaired :)

    thanks for your answers!

    Hi Hope.
I spoke to you before I’m the one that worries about worrying like you and myself and many others on here we have the same issues with anxiety as you do it seems to be a symptom of the virus the racy feeling I think is maybe just our anxiety acting up a bit the good thing though the anxiety is getting better with treatment you will be fine and you have this site to support you eg I had a bad night about 10 days ago search this website eg. side effects etc the answers were here as other people were explaining symptoms that I was feeling plus Dr Freeman rang me and put my mind at ease .
All the answers are here well most plus if your feeling weird come on here you will be supported. Good Luck with tx :+1:

As for coffee I love it Moccona of course and the odd Latte coffee is supposed to be good for your liver enzymes. :cheer:

Hope….Like your name…trust it. Your name will become a reality.

Glad you have settled on a date. Goals and deadlines gets one’s ass in gear.
That’s what I did. I had possession of my meds 2 and 3 weeks prior to finally
eating them. I must say it was underwhelming…..nothing, nada, zilch. Bear
    in mind though YMMV.

Regarding coffee….I drank a 6 cups per day before tx and now maybe 4 cups
probably because of the meds, I think. I believe it is part physical and part
psychological. Because of your anxiety and if want to still drink coffee,
start slowly…no coffee, 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, etc and see what happens.

Regarding benzos….have some handy for emergencies if needed. Maybe the hot
coffee melted your diazepam quickly and somehow you had an adverse reaction.
Benzos are supposed to calm you down. From my experience so far, these new
Hep C meds are very powerful. For me, they mask the effectiveness somewhat of
other meds that I am taking.

Lots of people here have already given you some good sound advise. You are the
captain of your own ship. Make informed decisions and you will be fine. Good luck….e.

Well my question was about the relation of anxiety/panic attacks with coffee consumption (if anyone stopped drinking coffee for example becuase of that)

And if the first days on TX, when some of you reported racing heart/speedy feeling, feels like drinking too much coffee?

Otherwise I’m aware of potencial good sides of drinking coffee for liver – but in my case it’s not gonna be possible anymore I guess :( much like flying and some of other stuff I used to do :( or maybe it will be possible once hepC is gone? We’ll see ;)

Hi Hope if coffee doesn’t agree with you leave it until you are better, most common side effect seems to be insomnia so something to get you off to sleep might be of benefit my Doc has prescribed me Tempazam maybe something you can talk over with your Doc. :+1:

    Hi Hope,

I enjoy my coffee but I know that too many can make me feel ‘jittery’ which isn’t so good. For me the high from the meds wasn’t like that, it was more of a ‘glad to be alive’ spring day type thing. That sort of crisp, fresh, sunny feeling you get on those days. :)

Everyone seems a bit different but I haven’t seen anyone complaining about the effect making them anxious and many people who did suffer from that previously seem to find relief through treatment.

Me too, really enjoyed the ‘Harvoni High’ for the first 4 weeks until I caught something which turned into a chest infection / sinusitis.
Not been ‘right’ since – hoping under that sinusisits, there’s a new me waiting to break out ! ;)

Update: first day of tx went ok with Diazapem. Second one, without Diazapem, wasn’t walk in the park. Extreme anxiety some 5 hours after I took Sof/Dac. Almost a panic attack. Somehow me and my friend who’s staying with me handled it without taking benzos.
Third day: no way to cope without benzos. Even with them it’s hard.

All 3 days were ok sleepingwise and no headache, drank plenty of water.

Is it getting any better after some time? How was first days for you?

And another question, is sesame an cyp3a4 inhibitor also? Searched for it and kinda got lost, can’t really spend much time behind the computer.

Not in a good shape at all :(
