Here’s what I posted Em. Tell me what you want me to change.
“I have met Greg, Dr Freeman and their team and found them to be genuinely caring people who are doing this to help people and not to make money, which is truly refreshing in this day and age.”
“I went over to the http://www.fixhepc.com site, the place that helps people access generics to treat hep c and there was this thread that I totally found shocking. They were talking about pitching in to pay for treatment for one of our veterans that got treatment denied by the VA. One man gave $500, and Dr Freeman said he’d match donations and one of the pharmacies did the same and there were others and I couldn’t believe it. So if we can just get them to do the same for the other 200,000 Veterans that need treatment we’ll have this little problem licked.”
“I think if people choose to use generics they should go to a place like your site because they are assured of getting real meds that have been checked and it’s the only way they’ll be able to keep the prices down. So I’m in favor of the Buyer’s Club.”
I made a stupid joke Em, I didn’t think it was a big deal but obviously it was and I won’t do it again. Believe me, I no longer feel like joking.
9 December 2015 at 5:45 pm #5703I said you help people access generics. What’s wrong with that? I dotted the i.

10 December 2015 at 2:16 am #5731Thanks Price
It is with regret that I have to respond to this and take my foucs away from our core business on this site.
Actually that’s not the original version but hey, you edited the original yesterday after I raised my concern privately with you. In the original post you mentioned that I was responsible for sending meds to people in the US. Furthermore to ensure access for 200,000 vets you may have to sleep with me.
Obviously my subsequent comments did respond to those 2 points, when I stated that fixhepc is willing to facilitate access everyone without sexual favour. And clarified that we don’t send meds to anyone.
But hey I could go on but will refrain. Why is it OK for you to edit your original post and present it in open forum as a post I had an issue with. I don’t know what your issue is with me, I don’t know what your end game is, my type C personalality wants to kid glove you but fuck it, I’ll give you enough rope to hang yourself. On inquiry your reputation precedes you and this is typcial behaviour. Em

7/07/16 UND SVR 2411 December 2015 at 1:47 am #5852With all the bad press you think Gilead would treat the 200,000 vets with meds at cost. No they will wring the insurance companies for a bit longer. With Gilead’s moral responsibility aside, the Government infected most of these men with HCV before a shot was fired, with filthy those filthy pressure guns. Now if the US government was private sector multi national, they would not exist now. . Em

11 December 2015 at 8:58 pm #5985Well, I had a nice chat with Zion this morning ….and he still hasn’t been told whether or not he gets treatment. He said he was headed there to talk to them again as soon as he was finished talking with me. As was pointed out earlier, he stated that there was enough money for eight people and 12-16 had showed up … and they don’t know who will get the treatment.
I told him the money is still here and that I believe there will be enough for two people to get 24 weeks each or four people to get 12 weeks of Sof/Dac treatment, and to try to find out the names of whoever didn’t get the treatment. He’ll try and repeated that he would get a hold of the reporter to share my contact info and the site’s address. So if Price and Zion are each talking to the reporter we may get some action on it.
But, now looking at the numbers, I realize that I was presumptuous in assuming matching funds beyond the first $500.
What we actually have is $3000, and 48 weeks of Sof/Dac is currently priced at $4320 plus international shipping costs … so if we could get a little more help I would be grateful. At the same time, while it would not be a good idea to reveal names at this point, I am aware of the availability of 20 weeks worth of excess Sof/Led that two generous people have offered. Maybe we can help three or four people!

Here’s the second part of the CBS story. It came out today and it includes a Veteran who got generics.

We have a newspaper story coming out today on Vets being infected by jet guns….and yes, we told the reporter about this site. One of our sister orgs in New York is having a Press Release Feb 26. They’ve invited some of the prominent Vets in the area to get tested and talk to the media. We’re lending them a jet gun and they’ll pass out pamphlets on generics.
They’re using this poster (see attached).P
