I took two pills today with about 2 hours in between.
Should I take my pill tomorrow or take a break?

(REDEMPTION trial)25 March 2016 at 2:34 pm #14460Thats a tricky one – if it were me and if its morning you normally have your dose then tomorrow I would wait till the evening to take your next one so that you allow your body time to process the double dose. That said im not a doctor Hopefully some others can cast some ideas here also.

26 March 2016 at 1:02 am #14467Hey Paulino
Sorry to hear of the double dose ! I have a little pill box with days of the week for this, I often seem to suffer from short term memory loss – around 30 seconds, so very short!
Seeing as you’re on Redemption, you could always ask MonkMeds wonderful Dr Debasis, just drop MonkMed an email.
Hope you’re back in the routine again soon and don’t suffer any sides. Meanwhile, buy that pill box for the remainder of tx maybe?

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC26 March 2016 at 1:24 am #14469Take your next dose as normal especially if you don’t have any fxs from the double dose. The 1/2 life of these meds is pretty quick about 27 hrs for the Sof.
Cheers

26 March 2016 at 2:28 am #14474Hi Pauli,
I see you are on Redemption so hopefully you were able to contact someone for advice of what to do? Though I guess Good Friday wasn’t the ideal time for this to happen…..LGs advice about the pill dispenser is good, mine has saved me a couple of times now, very reassuring to be able to check when you have a foggy moment.

26 March 2016 at 2:51 am #14476Do not skip the next dose.
If side effect free take it at the normal time. If you think you are getting side effects and were dosing in the morning take the next dose in the evening, and the following one at lunch, and the the following back in the morning.
YMMV
26 March 2016 at 1:25 pm #14497Thanks a lot for the good advice. I´m not suffering from any side effects, so I´ll take my pill as normal today.
I actually have a pillbox with the days of the week on it (I don´t understand how I could have managed without it. The TX have left me with a new understanding for all women out there eating pills on on a daily basis) I´ve had a week off work in connection with easter and actually mixed up the days…..
Happy easter to everyone!

(REDEMPTION trial)26 March 2016 at 1:34 pm #14498Hey Paulino – I did a very similar thing this morning. Opened up my pill box and took pill for Sunday, then looked and freaked as Saturday’s pill was still there – It took me around 10 mins to remember yesterday was Good Friday and today is actually Saturday! So yep, pill boxes help but can’t sort our muddled minds!
Glad you had no ill effcts of double dose. Happy Easter to you too, let’s hope we have more of yesterdays sunny weather from now on. Still very cold here today in England.
