Hi friends,
This very important pre print article https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.06.15.153411v1.full
shows great results in lab testing for hep C drugs like daclatasvir for treating COVID-19.
Have a look in the acknowledgments for Dr James Freeman and Dr Andrew Hill and expect more news published over the next few weeks.

Sounds V messy for the brain too,
USA govt is lost in the woods as usual can’t see any trees, lucky I’m not in USA, feel sorry for those ppl there,
What have they offered so far ,,, Hydroxychloroquine,,, Remesdevir,,, Bleach,,“These results provide evidence for the neuroinvasive capacity of SARS-CoV2, and an unexpected consequence of direct infection of neurons by SARS-CoV2.”
7 July 2020 at 12:56 am #29991HCV has a direct neuroinvasive effect as well, as many of us will attest after getting our wits back post treatment.
This SARS-CoV-2 thing is really looking like much more than a simple Coronavirus, almost like a hybrid of different pathogens which are quite nasty on their own.
Once again, Jimmy, the “bleach” nonsense is a media fabrication. Please stop repeating it.
10 July 2020 at 3:24 am #29993Today is a big day! Tony Fauci headlines for the research and trials Dr James has been the pivotal coordinator of all this:

11 July 2020 at 12:16 pm #29999Seriously, this is a big deal.
Dr James and a small group of clinicians and researchers have set up this network of trials, following on from the just-released Iran data – which!!!!!
has also been selected as one of five clinical highlights selected by Anthony Fauci from the IAS virtual COVID-19 workshop that will take place directly after AIDS2020.And now appears in many articles worldwide such as the esteemed MedPage here

13 July 2020 at 7:13 am #30002Hi Hazel, getting this work selected and labeled by Anthony Fauci as potential treatment for Covid-19 sure is a big deal, huge kudos to Dr James for his contributions to this work. If the larger trials in Brazil, Egypt and South Africa confirm the results of the small Iranian trial results, Dr James will have every right to put under his Facebook profile “saved the world”

22 July 2020 at 4:15 am #30005Thank you! Dr. James cured my hepc. I see my doc on Thurs. for Covid-19. I’ll see what my doc says if I am positive. Been pretty sick. She remembers Dr. James.
Either way, thank you all.

22 July 2020 at 9:53 am #30006Hi Lilyfield, sorry to hear that. I’m not a doctor but have read that Dr James recommends ‘Indomethacin’ to people who are suspected of having Covid-19 (at least until you see your doctor). It’s an NSAID (similar to Aspirin) with 3 very important benefits if given early on. The first and most important is that it’s a blood thinner (will reduce the chances of Covid-19 most serious complication, blood clots). It should not be taken however if you’re already taking another blood thinner. Second, it’s an anti-inflammatory (will reduce the immune system over reaction). Third, it’s a fever reducer. There is evidence that it also inhibits virus replication.
Indomethacin is very cheap and in many countries it’s an OTC drug (requires a prescription in the US though). More potent medications will be given of course if the disease is not mild, but early on, or until you see a doctor, it seems like an excellent medication to take especially that it has the same side effects profile as Aspirin.

4 August 2020 at 7:22 am #30012The data about Indometacin comes from several sources.
It was first observed to work for SARS in Italy and that’s described here: https://fixrx.com/coronavirus-indomethacin-to-the-rescue/
The Chinese repeated that study in SARS-CoV-2 https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.01.017624v1
In NYC Dr Jonathan Leibowitz tried it out on patients:
And reported on it in the medical literature here:

21 August 2020 at 8:24 am #30018Journal published author, Dr James in this groundbreaking study into the use of the hep C antivirals for COVID-19.
Lots more to come on this over the next 8 weeks or so.https://academic.oup.com/jac/advance-article/doi/10.1093/jac/dkaa331/5889946?
