13 December 2015 at 12:09 am #6113Yep, recognised it instantly. Still got my souvenir bottle. Worked on me too!
13 December 2015 at 12:56 am #6118Ya, I’ll be keeping mine from Kingswood too. Maybe frame them.
13 December 2015 at 1:50 pm #6149Does anyone know, Has anyone received their Ledifos yet? and have they started tx on this med?
Someone told me Cipla & Hetero are the more efficient, with Natco having a reputation for being a little ‘sleepy’.
I am getting rather confused with all the options –
Hope brain-fog clears a bit

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC13 December 2015 at 2:22 pm #6153Well, as Alsdad and Chester have said, Greg Jefferys has been getting Hetero’s Sofovir shipped out internationally, but with a couple of extra payment process hurdles, so that affects shipping times I would assume.
I would also assume they’ll be doing the same with the Ledifos. Last I heard Ledifos will be shipping next Wednesday … but can’t confirm.
I’m guessing by “efficient” and “sleepy” you are referring to shipment handling?
I certainly don’t believe there will be any discernible differences between companies in the actual medications. One might use a different sugar in the tab binder? One might use a different sand for quick breakup in the stomach? Who knows, but I doubt it’ll matter.
Edit: I can tell you that in trying to get up a thread for Cipla in the Pharma’s Market section I found Cipla’s website to be totally useless … like it’s only really set up for investor propaganda, not for actual drug marketing. Therefore I didn’t complete a thread for them yet.
Edit too: And the more options the better. They’ll be needed when 160,000,000 people realize the drugs are now available.
13 December 2015 at 2:46 pm #6156but with a couple of extra payment process hurdles,
?
Thanks klhilde – Yes, I mean shipping and I guess communication

Well, I guess website building and shipping are different departments? but good communications are key either way.
Has anyone heard anything re Cipla’s HepcivirL yet ?
I ask because I noticed our UK GP uses Cipla generics for another family member for a different medical condition. It’s extremely difficult to get any Drs onside here in the UK, the better they know the name, the more helpful that may be to patients looking for NHS monitoring.
And the more options the better
Totally agree – It’s just making a decision gets more confusing, especially when tired and much going on in ‘other’ life too & a brian-fog combination – This section is really helpful.

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC13 December 2015 at 3:04 pm #6157Ya, I know about decision making and brain fog … been there.
The extra hurdles refers to the fact that his middlemen aren’t publishing their financial payment info. People send the money to Greg and Greg forwards it to their accounts … they ship after verifying payment. This to keep their identities hidden because they are activists not regular middlemen. (as I understand it anyway.)
But in this case, if people are equally confident in the manufacturers, the real issue will be who do they trust as the distributors/middlemen. And you’ll notice that the Bangladesh companies appear to be handling their own shipping while the Indian companies likely will not. And so far I only know of Greg Jefferys’ pipeline for Hetero … there have to be many, many other reliable sources for the Indian drugs but I don’t know who they are yet so there are none listed on the companies’ threads so far.
I hope to remedy that soon.
After the middleman issue, I think most people will be first concerned about price, and second about shipping costs and shipping times.
Edit: Of course I realize that there will actually be people who, whether they realize it or not, will select based on packaging attractiveness, cultural perceptions, and other irrelevancies.
Edit II: I’ll try to figure out about Cipla’s products tomorrow. But they could sure make it easier by putting the product info on their website where I could easily find it. And also their contact info. And info about trusted distributors and trusted online stores.
13 December 2015 at 11:50 pm #6184My Sof took 10 days to get to rural Tasmania and two of those were a weekend. Sent my money to Greg on a Tuesday. He would have had it the next day but I don’t think he did the transfer until the Friday because I know he has to go to Hobart to do it. DHL guy drove up to my gate following Thursday afternoon.
15 December 2015 at 12:39 pm #6337Hmmm …. I didn’t know the Sydney Pharmacies were ordering in the Indian meds. I thought they were just doing the APIs. Good to know.

Although the drugs may be the same, quality of packaging and a rigid testing / sealing policy has to be of benefit?

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC15 December 2015 at 1:24 pm #6343Yes, I agree … the foil backed box style packaging seems less reliable than the bottles for air shipping and even more so for long distance ground shipping.
Just so you know … while I was addressing the start of that post to you LG, the post itself wasn’t meant towards you, I’m just talking in general.
And while I probably should keep my mouth shut sometimes, I’m pretty sure I personally know people that would choose a product because it had a picture of a kitten, koala or polar bear … balloons, flames, or snowflakes …. or only big, authoritative block lettering and a fancy golden seal …. each depending on their temperament type.
15 December 2015 at 1:34 pm #6345Actually the person who has been staying here wanted to get the word out that all the stuff from fixhepc comes in some sort of pharmacy style packaging. Until she picked up her pills she thought she was going to be handed a plastic bag of drugs or something. Hadn’t even thought of that. Important for people to know who will be going through any country’s customs with the drugs.
The hetero meds come in a plastic bottle with a silicon moisture absorber thingy and cotton wool inside and one of those foil on one side plastic stuff on the other peel off seals.
15 December 2015 at 1:36 pm #6346Well, we are all suckers for little kittens etc
