Congratulations tototo on your SVR 6
That’s great news! If you get to SVR 12 it’s over 99% guarantee you are cured.
If you need any additional treatment, and you are in USA, I highly recommend going through Fix Hep-C here. You can get exactly what you need from Dr. James, if you need it. For less money than going though your insurance (I live in USA).
You hit the motherlode when you landed on this site. This is where people get cured.

18 December 2018 at 10:19 am #28812Hello Everyone,
I am two days short of finishing my 8 weeks with Mavyret.
I am concerned with the treatment outcome because of my eight week only prescription ,even though I was undetected at week 5 or even earlier (my first BW was done at 2weeks and a half) and back then I was <15 detected.
Sometimes my skin itches and I get a red large blotch (?) it happened yesterday...
Also has anyone experienced a very bloated stomach?
For the last two weeks my stomach gets extremely bloated especially in the evening.
Has anyone experience the same during treatment?20 December 2018 at 2:05 am #28825Hello tototo,
With Harvoni 8 weeks is not as good as 12 weeks.
With Mavyret 8 weeks is as good as 12 weeks Harvoni.
It’s possible your stomach bloating and skin itch relate to the Mavyret as rashes and stomach upset are the commonest side effects of any drugs.
I would expect that to settle down when you finish (today!) and that you will achieve SVR12.
YMMV
21 December 2018 at 8:25 am #28837Thank you Dr James for your words of support and for all the times you took the time to write me.
It gives me hope I will achieve 12SVR.
I will certainly contact you if I don’t.Gratefully,
Carla12 March 2019 at 11:31 pm #29019Hello,
Approaching the 3 months mark, doing BW on the 20th.
Can’t wait!In the last 3 to 4 weeks have been itching, on arms, legs, stomach.
As a result get hives like I did before tx.
has anyone experienced the same after treatment?13 March 2019 at 2:15 am #29020Hello tototo,
Sorry to hear you’re itching. Bloodwork might be useful but so would a picture of the rash.
It’s rarel, but not completely unheard of, for people to get drug reaction rashes associated with the treatment of their Hep C with these new drugs.
YMMV
5 April 2019 at 5:27 am #29090Hi,
Just wanted to update the ones who helped and the ones who are going to be helped (in treatment) and, of course, Dr James!
At the 3 months mark EOT this is where I am : )As of now I do not have a gastro because he left my insurance plan so I had to ask my primary Dr. to oder the tests.
It’s ok, because in 3 months I will be undetected, god willing, and will not have to put my feet in another lab for a long time!I still itch and for that I get hives, I always thought this was a symptom of hep C.
Now I feel it could be something else. And at least for a while, I am fine with it too.
All of you were a big support to me.

5 April 2019 at 10:06 am #29093Hello tototo, that looks as good as it can at this stage.
It will be interesting to see if the itch settles down for you. It’s certainly NOT a liver related itch with numbers like yours….
Fingers crossed for SVR12 and beyond.
YMMV
