In Newsweek yesterday
http://www.newsweek.com/there-only-one-sure-way-fix-hepatitis-c-epidemic-708583
The title
There is only one sure way to fix the hepatitis C epidemic
The conclusion
Generics and lower prices
Most of the comments about generics are being moderated out, but a few are surviving…
Share and comment if you can.
YMMV
16 November 2017 at 10:26 pm #27019weird moderating. I did 2 comments that had links, they survived 12 hours and disappeared then I was blocked, Got round that and tried an innocuous comment which made it in. Now I see my first 2 are back, and the low key one is gone.
Genotype 3 30 years, 2x treatment interferon/ribavirin non responder. Cirrhosis 17 years. Fibroscan, decompensating, 40 down to 22 by 29/3/16- now down to 6.5, normal, no cirrhosis. Started Buyers Club Sof/Dac 14 Nov 15. SVR 12 29/0716

Follow Up 11/19/17 morning
Just posted again but did not include link. Rather just the name FixHepC. Hopefully it will stay up this time. Other comments that mention FixHepC are still up at this time.

Hcv Rna, Quantitative Real Time Pcr <15 NOT DETECTED (IU/mL) NOT DETECTED25 December 2017 at 11:24 pm #27184Big Pharma is at it again, actually they never stop, their BS is endless!! The US is shameful when it comes to generics, oh well. Nothing I can do about it except speak my mind, which I do. The below quote from the article speaks volumes, it’s a shame they closed the thread and removed posts!!
“To keep prices high, Gilead has constructed an elaborate thicket of patents around its treatment portfolio—and the soonest a generic competitor will be able to enter the market at this time is 2034. “
