GGT 50H19 April 2016 at 3:29 am #15777Had to mention this in the name of science…two weeks after I started Harvoni, I got quite a heavy period, which is very unusual…they have been light/intermittent/occasional for years now and I had assumed Menopause was kicking in. But NO. It was the hepopause!
Second period now confirms it.
Quite astonishing really, and added to much improved and deep sleep, it makes me very happy to be on these meds, even if the sides are a little icky now at about 7 weeks. Even they seem to come and go before you really get sick of them.

24 wks SVR yeeaa!!20 April 2016 at 8:48 am #15855Only just stumbled on this thread. I am also well past the womanly cycles so would be a bit pissed off if they showed up again. I’m 60 so don’t expect it to happen.
Awesome news about the spider things. Fingers crossed.
I read somewhere a long time ago that women with liver issues such as HCV tended to have more boy babies than girl babies. Sorry, I can’t remember the reasoning behind this but was wondering if this is reflected in our community.
I have 2 sons, both were surprises i.e. not planned. The first was born VERY late and the second was induced so as to avoid that (I’d say the first one was born late because he was too lazy to get moving and that has not changed lol)

mild”2 July 2016 at 4:39 am #20287We have so many ladies either approaching EOT or post EOT or even post SVR
congratulations to all
I thought a little summary of gorgeous stuff I have noted girls talking about which help during this stage of the story:
A little trip to “get out of the house”
Say a weekend away camping or a plane trip even, in Australia tickets are at around $29 or $49 bucks to cool places.
Pat1 and I have coincidentally both taken a mini break after EOT and both had a lovely time. I saw VIVID and Pat1 visited beautiful galleries with her old chum
Beaches is off for a mini break to warmer waters yummmmm
I’m certain other ladies have also changed scenery after EOT towards SVR it really takes your mind off everything.
Also a nice hairdresser visit. I’m on a very very tight budget and found a $30 deal it was heaven.
Try something new.
Thank yourself for being strong
Go see a sad movie and have a legit cry (lol)
I’m sure other ladies have ideas to add to this idea of EOT and beyond girlie self love and lifestyle stuff
Love from Ariel2 July 2016 at 3:13 pm #20321Hey thank you Ariel for reviving the thread. I did enjoy a week away between EOT and SVR. It was an awesome distraction from a life where previously I was fighting to survive. I tried very hard not think too much about my Tx and recovery, instead I focused on enjoying a holiday away without struggle, enjoying simple things with a childhood friend. My friend was aware of my previous hepc status and I had discussed the Tx journey I had undertaken with her. Honestly it was awesome to not have to think about anything other than living in the real world again. Everything seemed different! EOT was a complex story of emotional slippage as my body and mind slowly adjusted to a new reality. It felt unbelievable and so yes we should celebrate and take time out for ourselves.
