Here are the current timelines:
16th November: RVR Medications start being taken by patients (in process) The first patients are taking trial medication for 1 week to assess Rapid Virological Response. They will then continue on with a full course of medication that has already be proven effective
23rd Novenber: Day 7 viral load testing
1st December: Trials subscriptions will open (based on satisfactory RVR results)
26th December – Medications will start shipping to patients
January-February-Mar: 12 week treatment window
April 13th-17th: On treatment and EOT results reported at EASL Barcelona
The results for patients on 24 weeks treatment and the SVR4, SVR12 and SVR24 rates will be reported across the course of 2016.
YMMV
21 October 2015 at 12:36 am #2562hello Doc James ,
I have a question concerning the timeline for those trials, you state:
December-January-February: 12 week treatment window
does this word “window” means one can start anytime in December, like after Xmas? or even January after New Year?
or are all participants supposed to start on the same day like 01 December 2015 ?? & be done by the end of Feb?
– assuming we’re talking duration tx of 12 weeks.I’m trying to work out the best options amongst all sorts of prior commitments already made for December, etc

21 October 2015 at 8:02 am #2578I am a newbie, have been reading and reading all the info. Have had Hep C at least 30yrs. GT1a, 15 million VL, 139 and 229 LFT. getting a fibro scan this week. No prior TX. Losing weight and feeling a bit scared. I doubt Medicare will come through for me and considering a trip to Hobart. I love being able to hear your stories and have hope thanks to all of you.

21 October 2015 at 10:57 am #2582Hi Jan, If you can get to Australia then do it, don’t wait for the bean counters to say that your now sick enough for the meds (or for current regulations to suddenly change), snatch your own wellbeing away from dollar driven indifference and reclaim your life.

My situation is very similar to yours. I made an appointment with Dr James Freeman at:
https://gp2u.com.au/I recommend that you do the same to talk over your options with him.
Most of all, don’t be afraid.
5 November 2015 at 8:57 am #3355Hi Felix, Thank you for the encouragement. Are you from the USA too? Are you getting treatment?

2 December 2015 at 11:18 am #5035Count me in as now ready for the trials…my meds arrived yesterday
Amazing to think how much $ is represented in those two innocuous bottles…I feel incredibly fortunate to have this chance at a cure (and to those who have done so much, you know who you are and what gratitude is owed…and immeasurable thanks to Dr J)
Now, to wait for January…patience not being my strong suit lol

ALT 2617 February 2016 at 8:22 pm #12120Hello Dr James,
How long need to wait to be approved and receive medicine ( Sofosbuvir 400mg/Ledipasvir 90mg) if apply for The REDEMPTION-3 eTrial? What another way to get these medicine?
Thanks!18 February 2016 at 2:36 pm #12171Basically as long as it takes you to fill in the trial agreement form, for the money to clear (3 days) and then the medication to ship (5-7 days).
Typically under 2 weeks from apply to receive.
YMMV
22 April 2016 at 10:35 pm #16039Hello Dr.Freeman,
I finished registering and wired payment from USA for Redemption 3 eTrial and was curious about your statement, “Typically under 2 weeks from apply to receive.”
Does that still hold true for us here in the US?
I’ve yet to be contacted for consult with Indian doctor as I just wired yesterday from US bank to bank in Aus.Thank you,
Matt
