    hello
I could not find this question being asked yet, so started this thread, maybe it is useful to others as well,

I understand that I need a prescription from the UK, it could be from my GP or my own specialist or any doctor.
Can someone please explain to me in simple terms what the prescription need to say?

Does it need to say the word “GENERIC’ ???”

also my consultant told me he cannot write me a private prescription but he can write me NHS PRESCRIPTION

Will NHS PRESCRIPTION? work to import the meds to the UK ?

Also would the meds be sent directly from China to the UK ? or do they go from China via Australia ( to be tested & encapsulated) & then after that meds are posted further to the UK,

This point is not very clear in the GETTING STARTED info, so would like someone to clarify. This is important if talking with the consultant to tell him/her ; “import directly from China” or “directly from Australia” where drugs are tested & encapsulated.

    Many thanks,
    Jolie

    Hi Jolie,

If you’re taking 90 days the script should be written as Sob 90 X 1 per day same with Dac
the exact names of the Meds are on the consent form.

I’ll ask Dr Freeman to weigh in on the NHS script and using Generics I don’t think the latter
    is necessary.

In the case of China the APIS come into Australia for testing and encapsulating.

I think all your points are valid I’ll have a chat with Dr Freeman about how it can be clarified on the website.

I guess I would have the same question, if my Dr. wrote a prescription for “Daklinza” and “Sovaldi” and actually gave it to me so I could send it to Dr. Freeman, would that work?

The script will not for trade names. It will be for the actual name of the drug. IE: Daclatasvir and Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir.

    hi there Sirchinenge,
I was wondering if you had a chance of any update on the subject?

Maybe it is a good idea to just attach a picture of a script that is acceptable for DR James & how it is written./ worded.
I might be seeing just a private GP, so not liver specialist for that script, so I imagine he might want to know what to write there, as many UK GP’s don’t know much about HCV, never mind about what the latest DAA are called, etc.

    PS.
Still no luck here with private script but got an appointment in 2 weeks time to see someone else.
