Your focus is on your boy, though, that’s the important thing. Sticks and stones and all that…..
15 November 2015 at 11:29 am #3993Dear Cindi, After all our years as fellow travellers, it is great to see that J is finally receiving treatment. You endured painful years of IVF & four cruel HCV treatments – I always admired your courage & spirit. Nevertheless; across two previous forums you always treated people so kindly. Any harrassment from the previous forum appears conflicted & self serving. Don’t credit it with any further thought. Life is too precious.
J was just a munchkin when we sometimes talked on the phone & laughed ourselves silly when he shared with me how he had hidden your computer because it had turned to spaghetti – and he couldn’t fix it. Cherished memory. Now he is a bigger lad and finally receiving HCV treatment. Hopefully, you will soon be finally free of this burden so long carried – though you were innocent and deserved no reproach. Let us hope for sweet freedom and a richer future.
Tell J to keep his big boy pants on (joke) – cause he’s shown a new maturity in how seriously he has taken his tx decision. Archer xx
15 November 2015 at 12:11 pm #3994hello Archer,
Thank you for the kind thoughts.& for sticking up for me.
Yes, strange things happening over there on that forum, she’s acting a little crazy.
J’s good again today & tomorrow he has to go do “work experience”, so thank goodness these wonder drugs have no bad side affects on him
Hope you’re ok, hope you’re getting closer to doing what you know you should……..
….big decision, but big results !
love Cindi x

So pleased your son is doing well. There are a few of us travelling down the path with him at the same time so he’s in excellent company!
I am the mother of two sons although they are a little older that Young J. We are waiting for the results from my oldest son’s blood test to stop a niggling worry. He took a bit of convincing but I think the fact that I am taking the generics has made it a bit easier.
Wishing you both a good week (and well done for removing yourself from negative influences).
Coral
16 November 2015 at 5:47 am #4024Oh good luck Coral, I can understand how you’re feeling.
I so hope the results for your son are negative. My J had to go to work experience for school this week.
He is working with an agency that rescues animals.
He keeps texting me what’s happening, he’s had to rescue a Cockatoo & a ring tail possum so far this morning & he sounds full of energy. These drugs are amazing!
He has his first bloods done tomorrow, so exciting!
So Coral, try not to stress, even if your boy proves positive, these new generics are nothing like the old drugs.
He will be ok

Thanks & the answer is NO he says he feels nothing!! except a bit more alert
He seems a bit less “moody” to me, smiling more.
His VL ( viral load) was 2 million, so not much different from yours, really.
Mine got up to 19 million at one time, it can fluctuate a lot I think.
When do you start tx?

24 wks SVR yeeaa!!17 November 2015 at 6:05 am #4074Hi Cindi,
I am so pleased with how things are going for your son. Having survived the teenage years with two sons “less moody and smiling more” sounds like an outstanding result! Fingers crossed for the blood results.
I am still doing fine on my 6th day although I just mentioned to 2b that I have a bit of a history of 4 – 5am awakenings which I thought may be due to the Hep C virus. I’ve had a few early starts this week but not quite a pattern yet. Not complaining though.
Whatever the outcome of my son’s test I agree that the generics have made this so much easier for us all to face. Thanks for your support.

17 November 2015 at 6:52 am #4082Great to hear that J is doing so well Cindi, feeling better physically and mentally (no small feat in a teenager for sure!)
I would definitely say the recuperative powers of youth are on his side too, now the meds are giving his immune system a more than fighting chance. Really pleased for you both

18 November 2015 at 4:59 am #4154I think I spoke too soon, I just had to go pick up J from his work experience place as he was feeling sick & has bad headache.
It may be associated to the heat as it’s 34 here today?Anyway, he lasted there half the day.
He’s home now resting.I wonder if you can have headache pills on the generics?
Ibuprofen or panadol or something.Anyone know?
Thanks
