    Yes there has to be some dirty business with that site, she’s still beating that same old drum trying to scare people away from accessing the generic cure that’s here now within their reach.

    And real damage is done there; for example, I’ve lost count of how many on there I’ve seen that while after many appeals they may have been allowed to have sovaldi, but are still told they have to take ribavirin with it instead of daclatasvir (when they could get generic dac instead of suffering with ribavirin) and then you see them writing in for months later telling how much they are suffering from the ribavirin effects.

    Its really shameful.

    Loose bolt on the distributor? wow…that takes me back…do cars even have distributors anymore? I can remember twisting the ones around on slant six dodge darts and plymouth valiants, back when I could pick up a decent used one for $250.00…good analogy though (as long as the reader knows what a loose distributor does)

    This is wonderful news for folks in other countries. It is important to remember that it is neither safe nor legal to ‘import’ these generic versions of FDA approved drugs. There are many ‘buyers clubs’ and folks online offering links to ‘purchase’ them. There are NO guarantees that the products ordered are the real thing, or are even safe. It would be illegal to ‘traffic’ in ‘generics’ in the U.S. now or until the patents for the current drugs (in the U.S.) expire.

    We have insurance and patient assistance organizations. MOST folks in this country pay less than $10 for their treatments.

    As I said, it is wonderful that folks in other countries (where both poverty and HCV are rampant) will soon be able to access what we hope will be as good as what we have here.

    Hi GT2 and welcome from another “2”…I’ve been away from the board for awhile just busy with life, now that I have all this extra energy I didn’t have before, but having a chance today to check back in to see how all my lovely comrades in arms are doing…so happy to see everyone doing well, the playlist going stronger than ever, and the new folks like yourself just getting better and better.     I was here early, before the shipping to US was a sure thing so I put myself on a plane from NY to Sydney, drove up to Kingswood, got my pills, started eating them on the spot and then rode all over the east coast up into Qland, then stuck them in my carryon with other assorted medications and walked thru US customs..miss it down there…Emilio was a HUGE help and positive support for me before, while and after being there.     This is unheard of! Things like that are usually wiped within an hour, unless its when our Aussies and Kiwis mount an onslaught at our wee hours!     hey Fretboard, like mike, i have a prescription for that stuff, i stopped taking it when I was taking my meds and basically forgot all about it, bottles are just sitting in a drawer now somewhere…it just hasn’t been an issue anymore, along with a bunch of other things that I would have not thought were related to hepatitis c (for example, having to go the bathroom too often–(now that’s a non issue too)…whooda thunk it? I haven’t read where hepc made those non livery bad things happen, but I cannot dispute the results, no more pantaprozole (protonix) no more having to go all the time. Dirty little bugs must have been messing with all kinds of different things inside of me, i guess those would be euphemistically called extrahepatic symptoms? F em though now, all I know is now those things are not going on anymore. Best of luck to you!
