That’s great news for you Nadia. When we start treatment, we are looking for anything that’s different than before we started. And we try to latch onto any positives, and worry about any negatives. But then we get the first blood test results and the figures don’t lie: There’s the hard copy proof printed on paper! And we know for sure that the treatment is working.
Looking good Nadia.
Wasn’t making travellers take their shoes off before boarding to do with this?:

on and off.I assumed the hearing and urination were just part of getting older now I’m not sure.
I was getting up several times a night to pee. Dark-ish yellow too. I’ts returned to normal colour now, and most nights I’m sleeping right through.
The amount of times I’ve had the ‘phone vibrating in my pocket’ thing…..
Thought I had a faulty phone until it started happening when we were sat in restaurants/cafes, went to get my phone and realised it was on the table! Thought I was going crazy! At least I’m not the only one going crazy.

During the treatment it has worsened and I’m wondering if that’s because I’ve stoped taking fish oil and other supplements. Is it safe to take fish oil during treatment? I hope it would not interfere with the absorption of the meds.
My joint pain was also worse periodically in the first few weeks of treatment. It’s eased again recently, and some days it’s better than it has been for the last few months.
Take the fish oil at the opposite end of the day to your meds.

I have read Greg’s blogs and did see his opinions on FDA regulations. I don’t recall ever seeing where he shipped to US. Lotsa “rules” regarding legal shipping to US. It is not legal.//cutHi WILSON1, here is Greg’s August 8th blog entry:
“USA deliveries of Sofosbuvir for personal use.
My friends from India recently successfully completed a “worst case scenario” delivery of a three month treatment of Sofosbuvir and Ribavirin tablets to the USA.
As some of you may know the way that Customs works in most countries is that there is a random sampling of goods arriving from overseas origins. In the USA this random sampling has increased due to the issues surrounding international terrorism.
In practical terms this means that, lets say, one in every ten parcels comes in for superficial scrutiny and one in every twenty comes in for close inspection.
Close inspection means that contents and documentation is thoroughly inspected.
This happened recently with a shipment of Sof/Riba to a person with Hep C in the USA. This shipment had all its documents and contents inspected by Customs. The recipient was contacted and further supporting medical documents were asked for. The parcel and documents were then brought to the attention of the FDA who also inspected them closely. The result was nearly three weeks of official inspection of this shipment by every related US government entity.
Result?
The shipment of 84 generic Sofosbuvir tablets and 504 Ribavirin tablets was delivered to the person who ordered them and that person has now begun treatment. So much for all the nonsense being peddled around by the fear mongers that it is illegal to import medicines for personal use into the USA.
My message to you folk in the USA; don’t get sucked in by the fear mongers, right now hundreds of people around the world are being cured of their Hep C by using Indian generic medicines. Despite what some people say your government does not want you to be sick or to die. If you can find a couple of grand then you can be well on the way to curing yourself of Hepatitis C.”
The reality for most sufferers at the moment in the UK is no DAA-only treatment until they have significant liver damage. That’s not going to change unless the price of new meds comes down drastically.
Since I started self-treating with DAA’s that I encapsulated myself (well, the Dac anyway), I’ve variously: had a heavy cold; sustained an assortment of cuts at work; had a dose of loose bowels after eating a very spicy curry. It’s almost certain that all of these are directly attributable to the meds that I’m on. I mean: People only get sick and injure themselves when they’re on meds, don’t they? It has to be the meds. Definitely. Not only that, my wife and son also had heavy colds at the same time as me, and my wife has had a bad stomach for the last couple of days. Those dastardly meds I’m taking are at it again! They’re sneaky.
I think you’re referring to Dan, Nadia? He hasn’t been banned by any of the management team as far as we know, and we’re looking into it. I’ve been in contact with Dan about this on Kill The Dragon.

Jordan.
I think our hepatology doctors should be told that they are prescribing drugs made in a third world country.
“Information has emerged that US Ambassador to the World Trade Organization, Michael Punke, met with representatives of 15 LDCs last Friday in Geneva, where he noted that the US could not agree to an indefinite exemption due to pressure from some US stakeholders who are upset with the US government’s intellectual property concessions on the recently-completed Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement.”
And there, in one sentence, is pure, feral corporate greed applying pressure on it’s government for all to see. ick:' />
Gilead don’t even have to ‘gift’ these new meds to mankind: They just need to reduce their marquee prices to a level that healthcare providers can provide them to everyone that needs them. And Gilead would still make huge profits from them.
Gilead bought the company that R & D’d Sofosbuvir ‘off the shelf’, and has already more than doubled their money in the form of sales revenue. Harvoni is a combination of two existing HCV antivirals, which required minimal R & D (mainly trials). Last quarterly sales on Harvoni were over five billion US Dollars. There is little marketing required for these products: They sell themselves. And the revenue from them is mostly profit.
It’s clear that Gilead won’t struggle to fund future research. It’s hard to argue for the necessity for Gilead to maintain profit levels unless you are pro-corporate greed.
On the other hand, the argument for ridding the World of this huge epidemic is utterly compelling.
LondonGirl wrote:What does this mean Emilio? Impossible to receive by mail?
They might well be trying to put measures in place that require Indian citizenship and a prescription from an Indian doctor to obtain the meds.
Btw, France is on the cheapest European tariff at just over 30,000 Euros. Even if England gets the same rate as them (which we don’t), that’s still a large seven figure profit per 100 patients.
