Undetected at SVR12 so we can call that cured.

After nearly 21 years and 2 rounds with the devil treatment interferon and then this treatment it’s gone
I don’t know how many times I thanked James but it was a lot ,I’m so glad I saw him on the tele and then came on here and got treatment and all the support from everyone on here, I thank you all and to ,all involved in the Fix HepC site and the treatment you all deserve a medal.I cant explain how grateful I am for what everyone has done to make this happen ,this is the best Christmas present I could ever dream for
I fought a long hard battle with this virus and it’s good to have a win finally.I hope all that visit here ,contribute and show support to others and start treatment can achieve this result .
I’m going to have a few beers this Christmas and that’s something I have done for a very long time

Hi folks I haven’t been on here for a while been doing a lot of changing to my life ,I finished treatment on the 21st of Sept had my bloods done a month later and James called me to give me the results and after 8 months of treatment he told me it was undetected at the 4 week mark post treatment
,I couldn’t show the elation I felt as I had a good mate standing near by that knows nothing about this problem I’ve lived with for 20 odd years.
But it’s not over yet I have to have more bloods done at the 12 week mark and James tells me it’s around a 25 to 1 shot so here’s hoping I backed a winner for this third attempt at getting rid of this thing that has plagued my mind and body all these years.
If I relapse I’ll have another crack at getting rid of it once and for all but really hoping this is it this time for 3rd time lucky.
I still have a bit of discomfort from time t time and not sure if that means it’s fighting back or weather it just the liver getting over the meds ?Anyway good luck to all that are going through treatment atm

Thanks Fara,Ariel ,Coral and Matt ,I’m a stubborn bastard and vowed to beat this when I was first diagnosed in 96 and have kept a healthy life style ever since in the hope something like this treatment would come along and Matt if fate deals me another hand that isn’t favourable I’ll play another hand and and beat it !! I wont give in
but I’m feeling really good now the discomfort is subsiding,no fatigue at all quite the opposite actually ,I feel bloody great and I’m focused on the future and moving forward with plans for the future.
Thanks again for thee support and kind words I just hope everyone that enters this battle has a win and rids their body of it forever

Good stuff Simone,I have 3 weeks today to go of a very long treatment and hopefully I can say the same and I hope everybody else gets to do the same,edit not ; I just read my first post re treatment arrived it was 7 months 2 weeks ago I’m really looking forward to that last 2 pills
in 3 weeks time and no more warning alarms to remind me

James recommended I do the extra miles to make sure we get it done and he’s the man in the know so that’s what I’ll do ,other than some rashes on my legs ,some weird trippy dreams
hmy: and a bit of tiredness I feel ok and this is nothing like what I went through with the interferon treatment twice so hopefully in another 80 days it will be gone forever, I was really keen to see the finish line last week but the race has been extended so I’ll just have to keep on keeping on till the next end date .
