Hi and Thankyou for explaining your relationship in terms of the Australian law FHCN #love
No doubt you both watch the progress here and this latest setback in firming a date for Parliament to finally rule for marriage equality has been in local media yet again

    http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2016-08-21/pm-office-denies-report-gay-marriage-plebiscite-delay/7770038

Wishing you continued success in your winning over HCV and wellness and peace going forward. Hopefully rules here will soon change, but this has been a long lobby indeed for many.

    Love from Ariel #flower

Today is EOT + 20 weeks (or is it 21, must check) and I had LFTs done Friday.
I’m fortunate to get my path back fast it was through Saturday early morning
    ALT 11
    AST 15
Bili 5 etc etc, the rest all good too still really low numbers which is awesome

A couple of friends have chatted recently with me about “bedside manner” and the concept of “walking in another’s shoes”.

I’m thanking those two friends for their support for me. You totally get it, and I really appreciate that.

Not long for my SVR24 for FHC. I’m sure I will be okay with these labs. Flippers and fins crossed

Happies to all from Ariel #flower

    Good morning from Australia FHCN
I am saddened to read your predicament and was interested by your post as I wasn’t clear on the migration laws related to health issues here, as most of what we hear is related to asylum seeking displaced people and their sad fight to be able to stay here. I didn’t realise such tight laws applied to HIV. I have quickly looked at the Govt site.
I also found a short article by a law firm for you

    On Immigration:

    http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Heal/overview-of-the-health-requirement/threats-to-publichealth

    And for a VISA :

    http://www.visabureau.com/australia/visa-health-requirements.aspx

Note the par here: “….There is nothing in current Australian legislation that automatically excludes HIV infected applicants from being granted a visa under the Skilled Migration route, but DIBP will determine whether the applicant will require the future use of significant medical resources and incur costs on the public health system. If they believe this to be the case then the application will be refused.”

    http://www.bdl.com.au/migration-law/can-hiv-positive-applicants-apply-for-permanent-residency-in-australia.html

This is also related to the HIV part of your question. The most important par for what you’re asking FHCN says “… However, the health requirement may be waived for a HIV positive applicant if it can be demonstrated that the applicant’s medical condition would not result in an undue cost or burden on the Australian Health Care system.”

In terms of HCV it seems all okay it is Hep B that seems to get more mention.

Wishing you all the best in your treatments and issues I don’t know if I have helped at all really but I send you a hug xxx

    Regards from Ariel
    #flower

PS I am not an immigration lawyer or officer or public servant so if I have made any errors or left anything out forum members please be kind Thankyou

    Thinking of you Sabrecat
Yup totes get what you feel about the old relapse having been there myself like many others too, and I am sure you are totally focused again on getting the bugger out for once and for all. I won’t ever forget that feeling of sheer determination at relapse and the machine I turned into on a mission that I was never gonna quit. New meds coming through thank Gawd, and things are moving so much faster now too. Another better thing than those poopy old days.
All relapsers have my heart and everyone here I can see are getting behind anyone who has not cleared easily on this easy DAA tx we have nowadays.
Sabrecat, it is in reach I am certain.

    Good morning
Re this question, from my perspective:
I’m doing SVR 24 for two reasons
    1. To provide data for FHC
    2. To provide peace of mind to Ariels head.
Recently I did LFTs they were fantastic so relieved totally agree that it’s a great indicator of how things are going.
Today at around 21 weeks post EOT I am getting my scan results in hard copy and another LFT bloods done.
As James said above re peace of mind, I am doing this for me and my headspace really as I am absolutely certain I have been cured but I am an old relapser and need to be extra reassured. Simple.
    Seems sensible to me.
I like to provide data too, as I am sure we all do, I think it helps attract people to FHC the more data the better I guess
This week I have achieved more than in four years since the old tx and I am so grateful to FHC
