GT2 my teeth /gums were trashed during peginf. I only did that tx around three years ago-ish and it had a lot of issues…teeth was kinda the least annoying only b/c the other things were so vile, but yes of course my mouth then tasted like aluminium etc like chemo drugs etc…anyway my gums were tender also throughout DAA tx too, and they were not in between peginf and now… and seem to still be quite vulnerable. No reason I can really come up with except that the old hassles from peginfriba were re-triggered. Soft tissues seem to be inflamed in people…read of sinus, throat etc on others DAA tx blogs… guessing it will eventually settle again. And yes, lets drink to water, it is the new black :) Have a great day, Ariel.

You may have seen this orchestra, I found a small trailer because they do make long videos and I didn’t want to post something 11 minutes long! if this inspires you to search them more, please enjoy!

Music touches us all, in response to Tina our ‘doorgirl’ at this wonderful music party of the forum…

How to take trash and make it beautiful…

Another story about never saying NO, ‘we are done with being a silent many’ (Maddens). About always looking for a way to reach out to the World no matter the odds.
    Just like here at FixHepC.

Ive had a thought how we can spread awareness without being subject to outright BS from the likes of people and associated organisations who stand to loose a shitload of money from the manufacture and distribution of generic’s.

How about the idea of a Fix hep C bumper sticker –

    for example –

    “Got Hep C?

Fabulous idea Tina with lots of thankyous means people agree with your idea which I can support (I am sure lots of people can also support but just offering anyway)

I’m able to have stickers produced excellent quality waterproof high gloss and it’s what I do (I have a range of surf decals and car stickers I own) my producer is local to me and extremely reasonable.
If this is a go I am willing to assist.

    Hi everyone
I’m nine weeks past EOT and still keeping my hydration at a premium and intend on continuing same. It’s a great habit to carry a water bottle.

My skin is slightly dry from Harvoni after Peginf damage to it and I was advised by my GP to continue my water intake and I wear a moisturiser too now with spf50+ it is organic and cost a lot. The combination of good hydration and the creme has helped achieve glowing skin by comparison to b4 this tx.

Re liver health, which is the most important thing:
My ALT is <9 at mo and I truly believe that the daily water intake has helped achieved this amazing healthy function.

My gums have been affected by Harvoni. They are still sore. This may be because of my earlier tx or just the DAA I won't ever really know. Again, water rinse is soothing and cleansing.

I think it's great how the Harvoni made me thirsty.... it's improved my habits because I used to drink a lot of electrolyte drink but now just water to hydrate. So, happy H2O friends

    Bottoms up!
    Cheers!
    Ariel

Beaches this is one of my favourite funny vids as two crew are actually called Ken and Lee and are related and I tease them with this song it does occasionally mean I can use the annoying distraction method of sneaking a wave
    Love it

Greetings from Sydney on my mini break
I used to catch the overnight bus when I was in my early twenties I am sure other locals here would recall it.
I’m not staying in Kings Cross but I love this song.
I plan to go to Manly and to see VIVID the light show
And here’s a song about going from Melbourne to Sydney from one of our poetic songmen Mr Paul Kelly

Hi there Sonix, Thankyou for continuing our discussion in a seperate thread.
I paid the PCR bill for $155, that was SVR4 and now awaiting the bill in the post for SVR8. I rang the lab and we will get a Medicare rebate apparently, I will see!
I had to pay over the phone by credit card so I could have my SVR8 test after all it’s just one for my sanity not ordered by the hospital which I don’t actually think I need to go to but will lol. They just wrote up a VL for SVR12. I have done private path since the first test at my hospital was such an old fashioned assay range that with my GP we shopped around for more exact diagnostic path.
I’m guessing that I will also pay for my SVR12 because I intend doing it outside the hospital too
    Cheers from Ariel #flower

Ty for this thread, as a lobbyist it interests me.
Government pipeline on these meds has been available yes, online I followed it, I even set up a fed gov account (yes you can do that), I was submission number ** at the House of Representatives meeting prior to the Dec1 2015 meetings and the protocol is exactly as James explained.
However I would like to add: re timelines
The release of DAAs from approved by PBAC to PBS was faster than I think it would have been if many of us hadn’t lobbied our butts off, then the carrot that caught Minister Ley and forced the issue was this place, FixHepC. And the “roll out” well you know it’s a yawn. Not worth revisiting that.

Without mentioning names it’s often interesting to see drugs released after being held back for whatever reason when a politician is directly affected; this sounds presumptive but I know of a case which I can’t share by citation here for obvious reasons.
I can say it was a long awaited breast cancer drug.
I’m throwing out the factors (and there will be others I haven’t thought of just at this moment) that can affect the pipeline moving forward.

Power is always an interesting game isn’t it.
