    Ty Debs
I just feel better and better
    Best wellness since 2012
    I’m stoked
All I can say is to anyone thinking still about buying the meds no matter if you’re Aussie and haven’t got PBS or from O/S just do it they work
I have added 9.5kgs to my once skeletal body, have a normal appetite for the first time in ages
I have less than a fortnight to EOT and I feel like a miracle :+1:

I love the anecdote about your GP Hope. It reminds me of the receptionist yelling “no no no” into the phone when I rang my liver clinic after doing exactly the same as you to ask if they would still monitor me.
I’m seeing you wafting in wearing a full Indian inspo outfit next appointment and perhaps a little bow on greeting you could even make sure you have a faint smell of curry. I do have a crazy humour when it comes to these shock reactions we deal with then have to water down the “horrified” person, funny how they always come around like Split said haha when you’re UND :)
After all these meds are from India shock horror!! I’m UND both bloods and near EOT now so feeling awesome
Wishing you well and getting those other niggles sorted too that it’s nothing serious
My bicarb is slightly over on each bloods but I am not thinking about it until EOT see what happens then once the meds have left my body
Blood in urine is so annoying huh I had that heaps in 2014 it was kidney stones and I had a lithotripsy which sorted it.
Good luck for your VL Hope again I love the anecdote about the shocked doc. Gave me a giggle xx

    So my homework
Go power walking at least 45 minutes at least three times a week in a different location each time.

    Here are pretty pictures

I know you are not making judgment calls Ariel. You are righteously angry about many issues and I fully support you in that.
I guess the painful truth is that life demands survival skills that not everyone is gifted with.

    Good morning FF
    No not “righteously angry” either

Thankyou I replied to this comment on the appropriate thread. I saw it doubled up there.
Just to let you know I don’t carry emotions like “blame” “useless” “slow” I am about information and data.
Same with the sx of the meds and the EOT UND and SVR for me it’s about data and information.
I’m sure that the people who work in the big hospitals are “decent human beings” albeit with hands tied by bureaucracy at times.
My GP is excellent and I am his first DAA patient.
I’m asking here only for other Australians in the system to share their anecdotal evidence of the PBS roll out; for those who for whatever reason are sticking in that system. This site is comprised of mainly people who have like myself bought their meds. It’s new to have patients who have acquired theirs through the PBS solely like Beaches and yourself.
Especially if they are provided with a script through a big liver clinic, that would be very interesting data to have.

I’m just making an observation about the major hospitals.
Not emotionally blaming or emotional anything
    I’m not wired that way
Zhuk I got my script from Sydney I have flown up a few times to see a guy who then was kind enough om receipt of my phone call after the Dec 1 knockback to post a script down to me here.
Re my two friends they’re in Adelaide
It’s their reasons privately that they choose to wait. I’m hoping like many people around the country that the roll out gets rolling just for these type of patients who maybe aren’t as empowered or actually physically able and are psychologically hurt to get the DAAs through their clinics
I don’t have anything else to offer this debate
I lobbied incessantly for the past almost three years and said to the pollies and drug companies.
Let me know what the Sydney vibe is Zhuk just out of interest

    Hi all
    Yes I agree it’s strange
My huge hospital isn’t giving out meds yet
I am confounded by the couple of success stories here on PBS meds but at Monash they’re not filling out tons of scripts
I’m ready to just buy meds if I relapse
I have an extra 12 weeks of sofled here anyway due to a glitch in what Monash were prepared to even see me with in terms of suppliers
It’s a very quiet roll out at my hospital
Well patients were being pushed back until September when I was there on Friday
Wondering if other States are more active?
    X

    Hi there
    I said my congratulations but…
I’m wondering where the other patients are with these Aussie PBS drugs
I have friends all still keeping the seats warm at my hospital and also interstate
Other Aussies can you share your knowledge please?
    Beaches this is like wow
    Well done you x

Thanks isiang yup two weeks and two days to go. Went super fast compared with the last four years of just vile misadventure after a botched tx peginf riba had a serious afffect and legacy
I’m saving for hearing aids from peginf taking significantly my upper pitch register. There’s other damage too but oh well I could write a long speech and that’s not my style here. Unlike most people like myself who have no or little liver damage and a very low VL I was put on peginf riba and at the time knew no better than to believe the private specialist so I suffer that legacy. It’s cost four years plus of my career so far amongst other serious ongoing sides.
It will be nice if I get SVR and get a life back. I’m good at being positive about it I rekn this stuff works. The old stuff certainly didn’t!
I compare this to then and the legacies of it and this is really nothing to really blog much about
I had customs issues importing but didn’t bother here with that
I had issues sourcing a script but I got one in the end, from interstate.
Its 4.30 am here and I have been awake since three but slept yesterday daytime on and off
Such is the last few weeks it seems but I have a lot of other family life to attend to and Friday I drove around 250kms and did three appointments so sleep is not surprising
Just waiting on a VL check to make sure I am still UND before EOT should be in by midweek
    Cheers

Saturday Morning here in Oz I’ve turned back the clock to tie dye and toe thongs again.
First snap of Autumn blew in yesterday. Waves are coming.
Road trip over to Bells Beach for Easter for the annual pilgrimage; RipCurlPro
Looking forward to hanging with my friends and getting good West Coast waves
