Wishing you the best outcome for your tx Vedruss so pleased to read you have your meds and are starting already.
I’ve always had an F0, but I read that some people have had higher readings pre tx then much healthier readings post tx. I’m no doctor just another lucky person who got generics and they worked, but I am pretty sure there’s a couple of people on here over the past years who have experienced this Miracle too
Good luck with the fibroscan you’ve been through plenty already reading your signature
    Happy Splashes for your tx

Welcome to the start of hope and healing in every way we know and have lived, interferon or not, HCV is no fun. I wish you the very best outcome from your tx this place you have found yes it’s a community built on integrity faith hard work commitment and trust, networking, basically swimming against a tide with rapids by one chap Dr Freeman.

Today two years ago a parcel arrived in my rural mailbox. Two years ago my life began again. Oh it wasn’t a Bed of roses but it was exactly what I needed to now be able to confidently tell you as others will, because of FixHepC I am HCV free.

The emotions I feel on this happy anniversary completely outweigh the hell of interferon, the loss of people along the way who shunned me or any other manifestation that wasn’t pleasant and associated with HCV.
I will always have a thanks that words just don’t do justice to for the kindness and advice on this forum and from FHC.

I’m sure you too will be already looking forward to ticking off each milestone along your path to what you deserve, your life without HCV

Splashes of happiness to you for your future from Ariel

What a Night at Memo Music Hall St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia celebrating World Hepatitis Day, aka The End of Hep C. Sam from the Ears, whose life was famously depicted by his friend Michael Hutchence (rest in peace) in the Movie Dogs n Space, bared his story and soul in raw reality and bitter emotion at the loss of many, yet his message was clear GET TREATMENT NOW THIS IS A MIRACLE. Listening to a man of such presence talk about the fear, the self doubt, the loss of social identity, the relationships with those around us, the medical stories sad mad bad and glad…. then Fleety whose comedic genius made us laugh at his stories of global hunger pains and the stigma and prejudice and introduced each legendary punk muso that gave us an experience we jumped and head banged to for hours in collective happiness release and freedom.. The Peptides were incredible. Rowland S Howards own songs peppered the night, most poignantly was from their very first Vinyl, Door Door by the Boys next Door, Shivers. At times it seemed as if 40 years was frozen so that you could hold it in the palm of your hand. But the past is the past, and the message here is the NOW. it is to SEEK TREATMENT NOW. NOW WHEN WE HAVE THIS MIRACLE. And to those we have lost, who, to quote Sam, carried that ‘unwelcome passenger’ and succumbed, we will all carry our own individual loved ones we will also all carry our own stories. There is no yesterday we only have tomorrow so take your chance to live HCV free. Get tx now. I will try to load a short clip fro my phone of Dogs In Space, a poignant and fitting end to this post, also a special thank you to the chauffeur for the night we had a wonderful time. Happy Splashes and we want more awareness love from Ariel.

So much water under the bridge since I paddled by and said hi to all!
HCV is a dim memory now randomly interrupted by funerals for several who have been taken too soon, my foster bro included. In Melbourne this Friday a GREAT line up is on at the Memo Music Hall
Any Dogs in Space o Philes will remember The Ears.
I’m adding the promo poster if you are a Victoria Australia peep see you there ❤️
Love and splashes of happiness to all

    Great labs Doxner
I agree it’s better to do any treatment really easy on your body no yukky stuff eat well exercise and take time to chill with music meditation and old movie faves.
Re the BP yes mine went up on Harvoni (sof/led) and all I had to do was change bp meds on the advice of FHC docs. My own GP just changed my script and after a short time I was fine it was just slightly elevated during the twelve weeks of tx. I’m really sporty so I was quite surprised.
I agree with Gaj anything just get checked at the docs. I think these drugs are miracles.
Looking forward to reading your story counting down to EOT.
Sending happy splashes on those great labs from Ariel #flower

As Gaj says That’s Melbourne for ya!
I’m about an hour and a half out of the city and on the coast so it’s more temperate here and Gaj I think that sea breeze is near you too ha!
This chat sent me on a rewind to a time gone by in song. Crowded House early tune Four Seasons In One Day
That’s how people generally describe Melbourne weather it’s a bit of a typical Aussie joke on ourselves.
So I played that old song and I thought about how it’s also a metaphor for the story of HCV and fighting it. Under that lens it’s quite emotional.
Such a beautiful song. RIP Paul Hester, and beautiful reunion concerts recently from the boys.

Love to all come on down under Fitz it’s a big land to explore and so beautiful.

    Hi Sumblues
I put on 11kgs on Harvoni (sofled) it was the weight that peginf riba took off me. It was fantastic watching it go on after spending two and a half years trying to put it back on finally banmmm I was hungry and keeping it on!
I find stress is the thing to watch out for now I’m cured apart from that all good and steady in the weight dept so I will cheer you on
And no weed! Why risk ruining tx? I was against anything at all on my sofled but others have different ideas. Please don’t shoot me down anyone but I really think committing to the DAAs is a full person thing
Wishing all the best don’t wanna preach

    Dear peeps
Thanks for reading and supporting my statement about getting tx asap and about how easy and professional this ordering and treating business is.
The last three days have been great for surf and I have paddled every day in a row which is remarkable because well, if you could see the carcass that I was from peginf and how hard I have had to work to rebuild what was left of me and my life.
I’m a cheerful person whose profession was robbed by peginf riba for no reason at all and I have got through all this time. I’m private about my old status because of my career. And I am a mum of adult kids.
    Anyway
    It’s up to you
At the end of the day we need to become our own messiah in this game of Russian roulette

So here’s some pretty pictures of our changeable Summer waves and weather anyway to celebrate freedom
    PS I still need naps
