Wow my daughter is a tough cookie reading this thread
Since age 9 she’s done epilepsy MRI and takes it easy
Anyhoo she just rang and is in ER for the second time in four days and yesterday I spent half the day with her seeing her doc
Soooo I have to get to the city again even though she said she can tough it out alone
She has more than epilepsy she has hashimotos and stuff so I want this resolved her recent issues
Just hung up when I was reading this thread all about MRI
    Take care xxx

Aussie music lovers will be no doubt gutted that Ross Hanaford lost his battle with cancer this morning
We were on an Aussie theme here. Continuing it with sad news but a fantastic track.

In the more recent years Ross could be seen busking around inner Melbourne and made appearances at the Caravan Club a popular venue with music freaks like myself.

Daddy Cool was an early Australian rock band who pushed the boundaries and played at the breakout Sunbury Festival, similar to a Woodstock event

He joins fellow pioneers upstairs now that we have recently said goodbye to, Jim Keays, Stevie Wright to name a couple.

This is one of my two fave Daddy Cool tracks

Vale Ross aged 65 years young

    Hi LG
Good news to read of your liver health
A relief to have the question mark blotted indeed
I’m sure you’ll get UND soon it can just happen right at EOT and sometimes even just after remember, and we are the first guinea pigs to do this tx globally there is limited data compared with old tx regimes. What we do see is that clearance in general has a fantastic prognosis over 90% and if the annoying happens re-treating or extending are easy because we have access to the meds here thanks to this club.
Nonetheless I am crossing my flippers and fins your bloods come back UND next tests now we are in our third trimester as I call it haha!
Now you have had an MRI you see it’s not scary just noisy huh, we have lovely new whiz bang machines here too in Neurology but they still make a hell of a din. Did you just have your lower body in not head? I can’t imagine why they would put your head in for no reason with all that magnetic stuff. When my youngest was young I used to sit at the end of the tube while she had her epilepsy ones and a little mirror enabled her to see me though her head was held in position by a device. I wore headphones supplied by the hospital to block out the noises. Those were long MRIs that was over ten years ago now.
When will you have a blood result? Any updates?
Again, great news about your liver health

Congratulations Jaz on reaching EOT #flower
There’s a thread I read about how people are travelling with the meds leaving the bod etc as well as popping in SVR achieved
Pat1 blogged yesterday it’s great reading, as others like myself get closer to EOT too.

Interesting update re PBS Harv I was verbally told that only some would actually get the meds this year through clinic and wrote that up on Sirs thread about the Ireland situation
My information is only anecdotal but comes from hospital and a couple of independent GPs re triage so ty for your posting about your friends Harvoni
Glad they have it :+1: :+1:
I’m so pleased we are all fortunate enough to afford these meds; I am sure we all feel the same way.
Wishing the very best to you Jaz

    Beautiful Mike
Very touching and gives a vibe about your home ty
I’m reminded of a bloke I had the privilege of working with he wrote probably the most well loved song about Australia “I still call Australia Home” but my personal favourite of his and the most touching is this. I visited the saddlery after Peters untimely death as many of my family are farmers out past Tenterfield, and they live the simple life depicted in Peters tribute to his pop.
Anyway here’s to a beautiful man and his partner too who were both wonderful sensitive men generous and a blessing to have spent some of my life working with. Rest in Peace

Thanks for starting this important thread Pat1.
I have had hypertension since peg/inf, but it was controlled at 120/80 with Atacand.
The atacand is yellow flagged for sof/led, and a month prior to starting the DAAs my GP changed me to Coversyl 5, as I requested that I only be on all green flag medicines.
I didn’t want any mucking around on DAAs with any even slight contra-indications or timing issues.
Around week 4 or so my BP shot up to a high of 220/120, and 180/130 varying during the consult. I was at my regular GP check up. I had as you may know had migraine as a sx during the first month of the DAA and that was about all, but the migraine was severe. I had noticed a night nausea increasing and an increase in the migraine three or four days prior to my consult which revealed the elevated BP.
That was when I took a little rest from this forum but didn’t blog my issue, I wanted to get good medical advice, up the meds as per my doctors prescription and be fresh to go again here.
I am now fine and taking a diuretic BP med with an increase dose.
I hope that people report their post tx experiences with this sx resolution.
I watch my heart rate too, as I love sport. I climbed 400 steps as part of a walk I did yesterday at our coast here, and was careful not to overdo the climb. I still think my surfing is my best therapy sport wise, so long as I do not go too crazy after big waves and overdo the adrenaline while on tx. Walking is excellent.
Good to know I wasn’t the only one who had this experience. I was pretty surprised at such high readings given my non drinking non smoking and healthy lifestyle factors.
My Gp referred to specialist type information in order to get the best fit meds as I am his first DAA patient.
    All going well now.

Wings of an Eagle…love love it Gaj, well I will see you at Brian Wilson <img style=illy:' /> …I am going too, it is the night before EOT for me. I was at the 50 years gig of the Beach Boys and wouldn’t miss this one.

Yes the local Blues fest is awesome my best friends hubby plays in it each year and is on the committee. The walk was lovely thanks, and the waves were corduroy lines for miles…

Wings of an Eagle would be very uplifting live right now… and this one too, I have this on my iPhone and play it cruising around in my surfbombmobile… certainly things are much more real now I am on this magic medicine..brain fog gone loving clarity of mind

    C’mon feel the real thing..

Will be thinking of you tomorrow morning
    Glad it’s benign phew
Remember that they lock meds up in most hospitals I learned that the hard way! Begging to get my own meds for six hours was mad lol
I’m sure you have it covered wishing you a smooth op and a speedy recovery
Wishes for your mum too heart stuff is so scary for the elderly my Auntie in the New England ranges had to fly to Sydney for a triple bypass she was very scared but recovered well and is now 90 and fiesty
Sending you splashes of goodvibes from the coast here
