    Echoing Ariel’s comment on privacy (and sorry f I am hijacking your blog)…..
    Every individual’s decision to disclose their HCV status or not is theirs and must be respected.
    Many of us have a presence on various social media platforms and what we disclose on these may or may not reflect what we disclose here.
    Many of use use pseudonyms to guard our privacy.
    The way we do this is our own personal business.
    I’m saying this because I know that some people post about this site on their social media platforms. I would be very unhappy to be tracked down by an individual or organisation because of this.
    Using myself as an example, I still have an active and flourishing professional career and would be most unhappy to have this compromised because of my presence on this forum. It may be illegal to discriminate but that has never stopped anyone, there is always a way to legitimise discrimination
    Yes I have posted the occasional photo of myself on this forum but that does not give you the right to share information about me directly or indirectly without my express permission (which I will most likely not provide).

    Really it doesn’t worry me. I have something I never thought I’d have – HCV not detected coming off a very easy, gentle treatment. Happy as a pig in mud.

    Hi GT2, I have to disagree. While I am delighted and grateful to be experiencing vastly improved health (and I really used to think I was on top of it :lol: ) I think about SVR vs cure all the time.

    There is a reason why the term SVR is used instead of cure and I keep asking myself how long it will last. The answer is, nobody knows because these DAAs haven’t been around for all that long.

    Although I think about it lots, I don’t really let it worry me. At age 60 this return to health, energy, clarity and focus is a wonderful gift, and I will enjoy it for as long as I can, and if I do relapse in a few years hopefully there will be several options open to me, and anyone else in the same boat.

    I missed one.
    I took mine late at night because I figured (and this is not backed up by any medical knowledge) if I was sleeping then the drugs could work with no interference and hopefully I wouldn’t feel any side effects.
    I get up early every morning, either for swimming or Yoga, and I realised when I got up and I took the missed pill then.
    After that I took to counting the remaining pills and counting back to when I started the bottle, so then I knew I was on track.
    I read in one of Dr James’s posts that pretty much everyone misses the odd one, also it takes a few days for the drugs to leave your system.
    I think you just need to work out a system that works for you. Like maybe set up a reminder on your phone.
