One more point Doc, those Hep organisations should have picked this deception up.(there is enough of them spread across the country) Its wrong that we are only learning about it now. We have a right to know. The public has a right to know. This must be a new news worthy story. kindly

I am about 68kg so the answer is yes, if I want 150% dosage. Which I do. I am hard to treat 3 non responder. I never want to go down this path ever again; its been a total nightmare. kindly

Don’t worry Angus the doc has just assured the Hep c buyers club that they get 1st grade – top quality medicine. They are not generics. The PBAC recommended for listing on the PBS. The problem is Cabinet oversees all listings. Cabinet has the final word. To date of all the new expensive medicines that have been listed on PBS, heppers have dipped out. It is really dreadful that there are people in dire need of this medicine and cannot afford it – micro finance charities could fill this gap with no interest loans. I am taking it
upon myself but are yet to hear from a person well versed in the best way to go. The hep organisations are utterly useless in every aspect of the generic and 1st grade medicine for either information or how to access it. You have made the right decision.

it’s good enough to be considered the same for generic purposes, but it is less

Thanks for that information, don’t like the sounds of” but it is less”. Do you think I should increase Sosobuvir a bit, I do have a pill cutter

The immediate problem is there are people who need treatment NOW. The government knows people are dying and will continue to die unless they get treatment. Like Dr Miriam said about 20% need affordable treatment NOW. The rest of the schmozzle about pricing can come latter. kindly

Semantics in this instants my friend is important. Alas. its corporations who hold all cards. A caption came thru on facebook the other day- a GI clutching an assault rifle- it read “I fought for Capitalism not Democracy. Why would we want Mesochem here, they would have to play by our rules? Mesochem is proving to be reliable. They will have a first class world reputation at the end of this. And good on them. Insight into government holding back life saving medication should send warning bells to the rest of the population.kindly

I have seen over the years new costly life saving medicines come onto the market. A small amount of TV publicity. Within a few weeks they have got PBS listing. I really would love it to be an exchange rate problem. I even think its a human rights issue. kindly

Thanks, my current treatment is for 24 weeks. By the way I have been really struggling physically with this treatment. Couldn’t exercise as usual, nanny naps, particularly after eating so tired I had to sleep. Now at the 8 week mark. Complete change. Very strange. kindly

I was told by my treating doc that I will die not because of Hep, he didn’t think my fibroscan 18 at the time was a big deal. My gut instincts told me otherwise. Changed hospitals and hopefully this round of generic treatments works. kindly

We all know why the government is doing nothing. It just ain’t a fashionable disease that will win them any accolades. kindly
