I’m happy you put up a video, everything y’all do makes me happy!! Sometimes I think ppl in the USA think the information is hard to locate, so I’m happy to see the video, I gotta run but I was able to leave a comment, a huge one!! ~Cheers!

Glad to hear it’s been fairly easy for you! I had an occasional headache and insomnia for a bit but the occasional headache and insomnia was gone within a week or two. As far as my tx with Harvoni, it was a walk in the park, except! I did have some pain throughout tx but that’s b/c I had a broken leg and arm when I was younger, so I now have arthritis and I went through tx when I was 62 years old . I took Xanax to help me sleep but in the beginning it didn’t help. Good luck to you, I think you’ll be fine!!

I hope you’re doing well on your vosevi and riba! I hate hearing about mutations, it just adds to the hideousness of HepC and for you to find out 8 years later, my heart goes out to you!! I feel for you and I truly hope all goes well this time, so you will finally be cured! Good luck and I hope you have an easy walk through tx with the vosevi and riba!! ~Cheers!!

Welcome to the HepC forum that helps ppl like us all over the world! I’m from the US as well however my situation was a bit different than yours. We’re all here to support each other through tx and beyond. I’ve already cured at the end of 2016 but I still stop in on occasion. Mainly because I appreciate the work Dr. Freeman and Monkmed are doing for my fellow heppers. Good luck going forward!!

You’re absolutely right but it was bad even before shit head Trump was elected! Now it’s gonna get worse, way worse! If anyone on this forum is thinking about getting generics through REDEMPTION etrials and you’re in the USA you better get on the stick and start the process asap!! Big Pharma in the USA is about to get bigger with “Trump and the Republicans”, at the helm. If I could, I would order barrels full of Sof and Dac from Mesochem or Monkmed even and sell them to HepC patients here in the US and other countries as well. Some ppl in the US are totally inactive about their HepC when they need to be proactive, it’s ridiculous!! And the doctors here, suck big time!! They will do nothing unless you ask and push for blood tests, all blood tests. Viral load tests, genotype tests, you gotta ask for the whole chingadera or they will do nothing for you and I have good insurance, I’ve had BlueShield for years!! Wake up USA!!!

Wow! Sounds very familiar to me, and now that I read this whole thread including the comments from Dr. Freeman, hi doc! I will get my “T” tested as I’m certain it’s low but blood tests always work better than my brain and if I get a blood test I will know for sure. I appreciate your post here SHarman, you’re not alone at all. ~Cheers!

12 Month Labs= UNDBig Pharma is at it again, actually they never stop, their BS is endless!! The US is shameful when it comes to generics, oh well. Nothing I can do about it except speak my mind, which I do. The below quote from the article speaks volumes, it’s a shame they closed the thread and removed posts!!
“To keep prices high, Gilead has constructed an elaborate thicket of patents around its treatment portfolio—and the soonest a generic competitor will be able to enter the market at this time is 2034. “

12 Month Labs= UNDHi Sven,
Unfortunately dry mouth sucks bigtime! Mostly my sx’s were dry mouth and blurry vision, 6 or 8 weeks into tx had immense leg cramping as well but I attributed all the leg stuff to a leg injury that will never be right, in my case. As far as your dry mouth, here’s what I did. Use Biotene, like twice a day, and I used Listerine at least twice a day and I sucked down hard coffee candy throughout the day and I drank juices, any kind of juice but not grapefruit and no sodas at all. Oh, don’t use the Biotene and Listerine together, different times, Im sure you figured that out but just had to mention anyways. Biotene is a bit pricey, but you only use a tablespoon per wash and you can use it up to 5 times a day.. good luck!

HPHi Hieu,
Can a regular HepC patient from the US contact Monkmed directly to get prescriptions filled and shipped to them without being in the Redemption (etrial)? They are able to get their own prescription, but not the monitoring needed for Redemption. If so, do you happen to know the approx prices for generic Harvoni? danka

I have a relative living in Russia who happens to be a respiratory specialist. She works in a few hospitals and clinics etc. She’s the type of doctor that will go out of her way to help. I know that she’s seen quite a few patients come through who happen to have HCV and it’s devastating because access to any treatment (even interferon ) is limited.
SO… I want to somehow help. What can I do? Is there an option of receiving generics in Russia or would it involve travelling to a nearby country? If I can pass on some information to her, I feel like it would help so many people, but I’m not sure where to start. The Redemption 3 (etrial) is available to all countries. If Russia doesn’t block meds through Customs, then Monkmed will get the delivery done. There was a page that listed all the countries that Redemption had patients in, I can’t find it right now, but check out the link. It explains everything involved in getting into the clinical trial. This is an fda approved clinical trial, all drugs are tested before delivery. You have to supply your own doctor to order blood tests and answer questions, maybe even write a prescription, I don’t know all the particulars. The link has the whole story, my guess is your relative in Russia could help a lot. good luck

I like this idea, Cheese, think I will borrow it and spread the word, if you don’t mind. I can think of two clinics that are in my area, one is Harm Reduction Services and the other one is a free clinic downtown, not really free but close to it. Anyways, both have plenty of HepC patients who don’t have any insurance whatsoever and would be really happy to hear they could possibly get treatment without the likes of Gilead in the picture!!! Not only that, the medical staff would want to hear about this as well, The doctors who work there care more about helping patients, than any regulations set forth by Big Pharma or insurance companies. I’m sure they would allow the information to circulate freely in their waiting rooms. ~Cheers!!
