Hi magpie,
The Riba will be the cause of the mushiness/forgetfulness stuff. I’m on week 21 now and noticing a bit of distantness or difficulty focussing when interacting with others, if you are the same it’s probably a good idea to let those close to you know what the problem is. I just plan to ride it out for the few weeks left.
I’ve had regular flu shots for the last few seasons so figure I have at least some protection to cover me until EOT in early May and the peak of our season tends to be July/Aug anyway.

Hi Johnboy,
As CC2B says, Dr Joshua Devsham works with Dr Freeman at GP2U.
For the script, your pharmacy may want to see a hard copy due to the nominal “full price” of these scripts in Australia (obviously you only pay the PBS price). If that is the case then GP2U will express mail a copy to either you or direct to the pharmacy of your choice so should be 24 hours assuming you are in the immediate Darwin area.

Hi fretboard,
For your capsules please read the Compounding section of the site paying particular attention to Dr James’ pinned section at the top which contains advice on the correct quantities.
http://fixhepc.com/forum/compounding.html
The rest of the posts there have some good detail on how various people went about the process. One aid to filling the caps which I believe is available in the US is the Torpac funnel which Mike (mgalbrai) recommends. http://www.torpac.com/
For your oedema (swelling) I’m assuming that your previously mentioned GI doctor is aware and managing the situation. If not please seek medical advice about it.

Hi DorianLS,
I wouldn’t be worrying that a bit of fatigue signified anything about your results just yet, when are your SVR viral load test results due?
I notice a number of people comment on some occasional fatigue post Tx but given our collective age profile I suspect that to some extent it comes with the territory. For myself, I will be happy to live with a little of that in place of the constant overwhelming and bone-crushing fatigue I had pre Tx.

Hi HCV_FIGHTER and welcome.
As Paul explains from the link (very useful link for anyone on treatment and needing to use other medications) and quote he gave you it can certainly be done if you do it with the correct timing which your doctor should explain clearly to you. As it happens someone else asked the same question yesterday in the below linked post.

Welcome fretboard,
You may find the following link to Liverpool Drug Interaction Checker useful during your treatment. Just tick Lepidasvir/Sofosbuvir in the hep drugs column and whatever else you need to check in the Co-medications column and it will show you any expected interaction such as the one you asked about.
In this case the Pantoprazole is similar to Omeprazole and other PPIs which have been discussed here a number of times. So use the Search tab at the middle top of this page to look for Omeprazole. It looks like the recommendation is to avoid it if you can (or consider changing the Ledipasvir for Daclatasvir if you can’t) but I will leave you to read what others who know more on the subject have to say.

Ariel, so good to see you reach EOT!
LOL!!! Those pics are just a little spooky…..if you look closely into Mr Moon’s mouth I think you can see a shadowy figure of an ex St Kilderite spending a sunny afternoon reminiscing over their youth. And you really should have said hello to the people a couple of seats to your right at the gig. hmy: illy:' />
Hey beaches, nice to see ‘Vibes making an appearance, he probably heard that Ariel “Took last tab a couple of hours ago”

Hi iseeson,
As splitdog says, there are a number of possibilities available for people in NZ these days. We also have a number of active members who live there so no doubt one will be along soon to provide you with the most current info about your options.

Amazing liver pix, LG!
So much detail……. and I suspect even more for someone who knows what they’re looking at.
To a lay person it certainly looks like it will mean a lot less operator/patient variability compared with current Fibroscan and similar techniques. Much better idea than biopsies too!Fantastic news on your <12 result too. :woohoo: You are probably good to go already but for peace of mind a good zapping with Dac will really make sure that you get rid of any holdouts. :+1: Looking forward to hearing your future good news results. :) #flower

Hi Michael,
Ribavirin should be taken with food. I tried without when I wasn’t hungry on peg/riba treatment and became quite nauseous, after that I always made sure I ate something with it.
Here you go, page three, half way down left column:
http://fixhepc.com/images/cmi/Rebetol-CMI.pdf
Edit: as Paul points out below, the food should have some fat in it. I changed to full cream milk on my cereal and if the evening meal is fat free I have some cheese and biscuits with the riba.
