Hi Radtek,
No problem with your dose of 60mg, that is the correct dose of Daclatasvir. What Dr James was referring to was those who were weighing up their own from the powder, 66mg of powder gives you 60mg of active Daclatasvir. If your medication was already made up into pills or capsules it will contain the correct 60mg of active ingredient (made up of 66mg of the raw material)
When to dose each day is personal, some like myself prefer the morning and others the evening. Just do it at the same time each day. Here is a useful thread on how to change timing if you decide that your original timing doesn’t work for you.

It reminded me of those crazy sounds you get in-between rides at the fair-ground
Haha yes, I’ll have to remember that description.
Glad to hear you got pleasant news regarding lack of cirrhosis and improved fibrosis levels too! You helped advance the science at the same time so another bonus. Am sure you’ll get excellent advice about next steps whichever way you go.

Hi TC,
It is difficult to be definitive as we are not your prescribing physician but it appears that Daclatasvir is not approved for GT2 by the NHS which would be why you have not been offered it.
https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/TA364
Daclatasvir is available as a generic at reasonable cost without needing to travel to India and could possibly be added to your NHS treatment (taking the Riba would then be optional). I believe the last two posters are in the UK and may be able to provide guidance about how that would be viewed by NHS and/or what your best options are.

Hi Arial, hope the hike was worth it and it was pumping!!!
I did go, it’s a nice casual day of blues. Brian must have been in disguise coz I didn’t see him……but thank you for letting me know he’s coming…..just booked tickets for the Palais on the 3rd.(The Briars is a local ‘historic’ homestead. Each year there is a blues festival for an afternoon and evening. maybe about 1500 people and about 7-8 local and overseas blues artists on the hillside.)
But seeing this is the playlist thread and the man proved again that he can still sing:

Yes, in most cases they batch them up and do any for the week at the same time so if you get your bloods taken the next day then there is a 6 day delay until they start to process yours which is why the 1-2 week turn around. So all about timing.
And standard LFTs are 2-3 days through my local lab or overnight (faster if urgent) through the hospital.

It’s good to hear that some hospitals in the UK are becoming more supportive of generics. I suspect you will have difficulty getting the NHS script altered from what others over there have said. Scrips for generics should be arrangeable via tele-consultation if other options aren’t available and maybe there is some way to make up the difference over what you are being offered using generics?
The other option is to go totally generic which will cost a bit more and there are a number of options such as the Redemption trials or self import from a trusted supplier that we could suggest but I’m hoping one of our UK members can offer better guidance of what you need to do in either case?

No crocs this far south, we do get the odd snake from time to time. The mozzies don’t breed in the creek so it depends on how much rain we have. The house is well screened but outside can sometimes be uncomfortable at dusk if no sea breeze.
It’s a very quiet little pocket within reasonable distance of town which means I can enjoy the hustle and bustle but retreat at the end of the day.
