I know I’m probably going overboard with this topic. If you are on this website, it’s because you sought out treatment. I just want you to know that this is the treatment Nirvana site folks. Step right up, get your Twinvir, or Cipla or Compounded meds. Take your pick, make your choice depending on the meds you need. My message is simple; don’t think this will necessarily be available forever; it’s a treatment oasis. It could turn into a mirage

No problem. If I had not smoked, I would have drank a lot more and probably had cirrhosis by now. So better to have some gum recession than serious health problems. I feel blessed at this point in time, I really do. I have no regrets. I’m lucky, all things considered.

It’s actually just the THC itself that is the big problem. People eating brownies. etc. will have the same problems. Fortunately, even though my gums have been damaged, I stopped in time to avoid any long term pain or infection problems. I just have a lot of gum recession. But not a health problem since I stopped in time.

Mike you are lucky if you smoked a lot. My gums have been quite damaged from it.

Well here is one I just found on Google

    https://sensiseeds.com/en/blog/cannabis-give-cotton-mouth/

There are more. But just to reiterate, I had the same dry mouth problems from ingesting cannabis without smoking. It’s caused by the THC.

Believe me, I love THC :cheer: :+1: But I gave it up after reading so much about it. You won’t have any teeth left if you keep using it!! :( :-1:

I bought a Volcano vaporizer about 5 years ago. I feel that vaping reduces the tar intake, but does nothing in terms of gum tissue. Even edibles don’t help. It’s an off topic but THC suppresses saliva production, which causes gum damage. Even people prescribed Marinol have this problem. It’s not smoking that ruins yours gums, or the heat, it’s the THC. This is a big problem that gets no press. Lose your teeth, and you can get all kinds of heart problems and infections. It’s the dirty secret of pot.

Gane needs to clarify his remarks. He made a very vague attack against generics from Bangladesh. But research shows generics from Bangladesh are made from API’s from China.

Interestingly, Gilead admits some of it’s ingredients are API’s from China. So I challenge Gane to come forward with the origin of the Gilead “superior” API’s. Because I say that “perhaps” Twinvir and Harvoni are made from the same API’s.

I also will admit that I was quite the pothead for many years. And I actually attribute it to HCV. It actually helped with my brain fog in retrospect. I gave it up about 2 years ago. But I only drank about 2 or 3 times a month. I think that alcohol is worse for someone who has HCV as far as liver fibrosis is concerned. I’m F0 after over 30 years with HCV. I chose pot as a vice over alcohol because I knew I was sick since age 26, and feel I made the right choice. I need something to relax!! I always felt bad after drinking, but pot had no after effects. The problem with pot is the long term damage it does to your gum tissue. That is the reason I gave it up. I want to keep my teeth!

    I am drinking more now that I am undetected <img style=illy:' />

Thank you everyone! :cheer: :+1: Special Thanks to Mike!!

I’m going to wait now to be tested; I have a yearly physical on 8/6, so I will be getting labs on 8/14, which is SVR 16. I just don’t want to use vacation time to see the doctor, plus that will be about a 99.5% chance of cure if I am still undetected.

Hi Defeat10, glad to hear you got your meds! I would agree with you, just start taking the meds! I had NO side effects. Just go to a doctor after 4 or 6 weeks and ask for Viral load and Liver panel test. Why tell them you are taking generics? They did not prescribe them, and may be reluctant to become involved in your treatment for fear of a lawsuit. Just get the tests…..you are on you way to your cure! :cheer: :+1:

I want to relay a story maybe others can relate to, but just so someone thinking about these meds gets inspired.

I waited to take the drug to a Friday night, remembering my horrible experience with interferon & ribavirin.

I took my first Twinvir tab at 6:30 pm on a Friday night. By 8:30 pm, I could not believe what was happening! The fog was lifting and I knew this was working in a big way. It happened that fast! I felt giddy and excited.

Twinvir is an exact chemical copy of Harvoni…just Iike the Indian versions so many want, but are more difficult to get.

    http://fixhepc.com/blog/item/47-twinvir-drug-hepatitis-c.html

Twinvir is made from the exact same chemicals. The only difference is the price is 99% less.

That is like getting a Ferrari for $3K :cheer: :+1:

    YMMV
