Finger crossed for your bloods, Ariel! #love

But don’t worry, the odds are on your side! Low viral load & no fibrosis F0/F1.
You will get an UND soon. :)

Remember, you are Ariel the mermaid. Mermaids never get sick, they are perfect creatures.

I’m approaching the end of week 4. Absolutely no negative side effects other than possibly some insomnia. Benefits – possibly a feeling of increased alertness, and my eyes don’t seem to be as tired as they late in the afternoon. Who knows. I’m not planning on having any tests other than at 8 weeks and then 8 weeks after the 12-week treatment Although I’m expecting to be UND, I’ve got a sanguine approach to monitoring viral loads, LFT, etc. I blame it on the disappointment of my first interferon treatment.

4 weeks already. Time pass quickly when you feel great.
    Good luck with tx!
I am also on Twinvir, and also no side effects.
Countdown to EOT, 16 magic pills left for me!

    Hi ,
I am on TWINVIR and of course that I am worried.
I am worried about slow response, being UND in between week 8 and 9. Worried about viral load at EOT.
Worried about SVR at 4/12/24 weeks after EOT.
But I am not worried about the quality of sof/led of Incepta.
Because it was tested by specialists in Australia and because many people here and on other forums reached UND after 2/4/6/8/10 weeks.
I am not worried because I trust dr. James.
I am not worried because I will never afford the original licensed Harvoni 80000 USD or 40 000 Euro in France.
So I took my chance with generics, I bought Twinvir directly from Incepta. It was me and two other companions fighting for a life without HCV. In my country I am not sick enough to be treated with IFN free medication! I have to wait until F4, maybe F3.
Only time will prove if the desired SVR12 will be reached by each of us.
Only UND for all of us! :)

PCR test results came back. I worked HCV RNA quantitative test 22 days of therapy, and writes only NEGATIVE :woohoo: .

    Hi Psavic,
Only after 3 weeks! Well done !
For viral load NEGATIVE means UNDETECTABLE. :)
Happy for you, you won the battle.

Yes Enkel, 8 weeks is better.
Because every medication has side effects .And DAA are new on hep C tx. Extremely effective but still not very well known regarding all sides.
    The shorter treatment the better.

But when the viral load is big/ very big, 12 weeks are compulsory, according to hepatology community recommendation.
My big/very big VL dropped slowly and was UND only in between 8 and 9 week!
    Hope to stay UND forever.
Wish all of you, the same UND forever.

Monday my GI doctor advised me to do one more viral load at week 9.
Because the viral load at week 8 was in fact <15. :woohoo: <img style=illy:' />

    Got the result!
UNDETACTABLE at 9-th week! This lab has the limit of detection (measurable) 15 UI/ml.
Slooow slooow but in the right direction!

Oh well ;) UND at week 9 instead of week 8. Maybe it doesn't matter. B)
Still 20 magic pills after being officially UNDETECTED.
Hope the same UND at EOT and 4 weeks after and 12 weeks after...
Wish you all the best and only UND!

Are you planning for 12 weeks, even if you are not UND by 10 weeks or will reconsider later?

    Hi Dan,
For the moment I have in mind Dr. James patient VL example:
”To reassure you here are some real results from a patient of mine…
    Week 0 7.8 million
    Week 4 76
Week 5.5 < 15 Week 8 0 Week 12 0 SVR 4 0 SVR 12 0'' I have hope that my VL will have the same drop to UND! If not UND at least < Lower Limit of Quantification (LLOQ), like in official trials. B)
Anyway, my viral load has dropped constantly during tx.
So, I think that I am still in the right direction towards cure, the desired SVR 4/12 !

Yes, in this moment of tx, I am convinced that 12 weeks are enough for me! :)

Best wishes and UND soon! #love

Just came back from getting my test results with B12 at 582 pmol/L so that looks reasonable given I only started supplementing at low levels about three weeks ago so will boost that a little till end of Tx at least.

OTOH vitamin D was only 32 nmol/L (13 ng/mL) so far too low despite what should be an adequate diet and sunlight. :(
My GP has recommended a high initial daily supplement to get me back in range then tapering off over time.

Also got LFT some of which can be seen in my sig. At the very top of the normal range so not as good as some on here but the overall summary for all results has changed from “consistent with active” to “consistent with mild” hepatocellular damage. Can’t complain too much considering the lump of old boot leather I started the Tx with. ;)

    Thanks Gaj!
My tests came 10 days ago. It shows for vit B12 204 pg/mL (190-980) and vit D 34.2 ng/ml (30-100). Low but in normal range. B)
I started to take B12 and D vitamins in the second half of the tx.
Hoping to be finally on the row with the others UND before ending the tx.
