    Hi Hieupham,

Yes, my fibroscan was F0 around 1 year ago.
I have not had any previous treatment.

I just got my 4 week post EOT results – undetected! Can I contribute my data towards this? I got my meds through kingswood and have only seen my liver clinic so I’m not sure what I need to do to get mine included…

10 days post EOT here. Had minor sides during Tx. Very slight sleep disturbance and energy highs and lows but most of the time I just felt like my usual self minus the constant tiredness. I wouldn’t have known I was taking anything.

Been feeling a bit tired the past week but I think that’s just from a trip away from home and being very busy. Feeling a bit of discomfort in the liver region suddenly today which I’m trying not to worry about. This and fatigue were my only noticeable symptoms of hep c pre-Tx. It did seem to ease off during Tx, around half way I think. My whole body is sore from gardening yesterday so I’m hoping it’s just related to that…

More thanks to you beautiful people! I will have a look at the thread Ariel, thank you for mentioning it. I was curious to see how it actually panned out for people trying to access the medications. I’m not sure of my friends exact details but she is not aware of anything specific so I’d say she has not been triaged for the meds. Her appointment was pre booked months ago so it could be an issue for others trying to get an appointment. I’m seeing the nurse on Friday to get EOT results so will ask about it then.

    Hi Tina,

The result is disappointing for you, I’m sure. I’m so glad to hear you have been speaking to Dr Freeman and have a plan of attack. Thankfully we have a number of other options we can look to if we don’t reach SVR! It may well happen yet though!

i hope you don’t have to wait too long to get tomorrows VL result back. Try to take it easy, I think you should go get yourself a massage or something equally relaxing that you would enjoy :)

At 4 weeks I had a qualitative which came back detected. The same sample was then sent to have a quantatitive test and it came back undetected. The tests didn’t have details of LLOQ or LLOD so I was very confused. After reading this thread I guess the qualitative test was more sensitive. I just didn’t think that would be the case as I understood the quantatitive test is more complex I assumed it would have a lower detection limit.

It did my head in to be honest but I had to come to terms that either way it was low, which was a good result and that’s all that mattered. Edit: just realised you are testing for SVR, so it would be more important to know LLOD.

If I’d had to pay for the test myself I think I would’ve made more effort to follow it up. Luckily I got the 4 week quantitative results back at at same time as I got a 6 week qualitative test result which was undetected so it put my mind at ease.

So you got undetected? That’s great, congrats

Congrats on getting your undetected result! 2 days to go! Wow, hasn’t it gone quickly!

Yes, the labs were confusing but once I had my undetected I could accept it and move on.

Wishing you all the best towards SVR! :+1: #flower

    Hi Hope,

Good on you for taking the first step and starting tx. With the coffee I used to drink it but stopped a few years ago because I would get that anxious restless agitated feeling. That was usually from having one too many but I find it easier just not to bother with it at all. The feeling I felt from tx in the first week or so was different though, it was more of an elevated feeling. I think it was a natural high from feeling so excited about finally being on tx and possibly an effect of adjusting to being on the medication.

I found that the first 2-3 days were the only days I felt a bit foggy in the head, sort of cloudy stoned feeling. But it wasn’t a bad feeling and I’d read that for most people this had subsided after a few days so I tried not to worry about it and just wait it out. The next few days I felt much clearer and had the high, elevated, energetic feeling. After the first week I felt back to normal and since then I haven’t really noticed anything significant at all. The only thing worth mentioning is I feel more energetic in general, don’t have that constant sluggish, tired feeling I used to.

I don’t really think about the treatment much now, just take the tabs each night, go to work, run around doing all the normal things I have on. Just try to keep busy. It’s pretty much been that way through my whole treatment. I felt a little drop in mood after receiving a detected reading at 4 weeks, but by 6 weeks I received an undetected result so my mood lifted again after that. I think my mind has played more of a factor in how I’ve felt than the actual medicine and that would be the same for me whether I was on tx or not, depending on the things going on in my life. Now, with 8 pills to go, I just feel so free and keen to get involved with things I’d normally hold back from. I just want to get the most I can out of this life and I finally feel like I can do that.

I hope you start to pick up after the first few days, I’m confident that you will. Try to think of the positives and remind yourself that this is worth it, you have so much to benefit from following through with this tx! It is a very short tx and you will be out the other end in no time! Maybe once you have passed the initial part you could try to focus on distracting yourself and keeping busy with other things. Hang in there.

    Jaz #flower

Thanks Life! I missed your reply until now, sorry for the late reply.

So, I am on the countdown to EOT. 8 pills to go! That 11 weeks has gone so quick.

This whole experience has inspired me. I have the urge to grab life by the horns and get amongst everything. I am usually very reserved and feel like I cant take on too much. But not now. I’ve enrolled at uni to study health. Ive got this motivation suddenly and have found something I am genuinely interested in. Thinking about the years leading up to infection, the years between diagnosis and now, and now Tx, not to mention other life changing events over the years I feel I have something to offer in this area and I want to make a difference and contribute in some way, hopefully in the area of infectious diseases but who knows where I’ll end up.

So many of us finishing up already and soon!! I’ve missed quite a bit lately and don’t think I’ll manage to write to everyone individually so I will send my best to everyone here! It’s so exciting seeing the SVR results roll through!! Happy txing and SVRing!
