Thanks Chejai! No lemons in Mexico. Can you believe it! Only limes and these things called limas which taste kinda between limes and earl grey tea. I guess just double up on the lime juice. I will give it a try tomorrow

Thanks for the info on too much water everybody. I had no idea. I will start water withdrawal tomorrow. Lol. Only 2.5 weeks left of tx and then I assume my water cravings will lessen….

Thanks Doc! I actually am type 2 diabetic for the last 10 years or so. The weird thing is that I never have high blood sugars anymore, but I do crash quite a bit and get hypoglycemic. This started about a year ago when the hep c made me lose my appetite and I lost a lot of weight. Now on tx it is even more pronounced. I wonder if the exaggerated thirst is a symptom of diabetes whether ones blood sugars are high or not. I test myself regularly. I never even get prediabetic readings anymore. I control the diabetes with diet and exersise.
In my other post you mentioned taking vitamin B12, supplements which I am doing. The thing is my haemoglobin count came on the high side on my 4 and 8 week blood tests. Is it still a good idea to take B12 if your haemoglobin count is high?

Hey LG. I hope you climb out of it soon. I find that all kinds of physical things , like catching and having a cold, or how i react to different meds that i take for one reason or another feel quite distinct while i am on the hep c meds. It’s like i am hyper sensitive to everything. The only thing that actually tends to make me feel better on a consistent basis is drinking absolutely insane amounts of water. For instance, i (like a lot of people on the meds) wake up after 3 or 4 hours of sleep at night completely parched. Drinking a huge glass of water works like a sleeping pill and i conk back out for another few hours. Oh well 3 more weeks to go. Good luck to you!

My next door neighbour told me that exact same story about a year ago. That’s how he got infected with HCV.

Hello all,
I just got my 8 week tests back and the viral load came back undetected! Hurray! The malaise i was feeling about a week ago has gone from horrible to manageable, so things are looking up. One weird thing is that my hemoglobin count came back somewhat high. Anybody else have that particular issue?

Still so sad that a respected doctor/professor didn’t take the trouble to actually test anything and just offers his possibly justified opinion. Again I ask Prof Gane ” simply show us your science!”

Pat,
I hope he helps as well. I am in the middle of Mexico where these meds don’t exist in their original form or generics so I am kinda on my own. I am going for my 8 week tests tomorrow and a few extra tests the doc tagged on. If all remains mysterious I think maybe I will book an appointment with my test results with the kind folks at GP2U and see what they say. I am hoping it is just a tx slump that will take care of itself as yours seems to be doing. I tried taking 2 days completely off from the world and it might have actually made things worse. Who knows…

Jeez, instead of just speaking about possible complications, couldn’t he just get some and test it? Like they did successfully here? I don’t know why he isn’t demonstrating some scientific evidence along with his “worries”…

Thought I would write an update going into week nine here. I felt great for the first 6 weeks or so and now over the last 10 days or so I am feeling like complete crap. caught a cold around 6 weeks in and though it’s gone now I have been on a steady downslide in to feeling lousy. No energy, everything hurts. nausea, dizziness, itchiness, no appetite, really sensitive to changes in temperature. Sucks. I have a really busy week and no idea how I am going to get through it.
I am going to see my doctor today to arrange for my 8 week bloods and see what else he thinks I might need to check

I have found lately exersise during tx to be very taxing. It leaves me exhausred and makes my muscles even more achy. I keep hoping that it is a stage that will pass because the first few weeks of tx i felt great

Great news! I hope it keeps up. I felt great for the first month or so and now in week 8, I am feeling kind of knocked out from (i hope) the meds. Today is starting off good however and whatever I have now is nowhere near as bad as what I felt b4 I started tx…

“Actually, I wish someone would just shoot down Prof Gane’s science”. What science? Have they actually tested the meds? It doesn’t seem like it.
