I would find it interesting to know, seeing how Dr. Freeman and all checked the chinese generics for purity before selling them, if there were any/many cases of the meds not being up to snuff. Or if the generics were consistently quality products upon being tested.

I am on Lesovir-C and i as well feel, somewhat wired a lot of the time, which in my case creates some sleep issues and I have a funny chemically taste in my mouth accompanied by tremendous thirst. Don’t know it this helps at all but they are supposedly the same meds sof/led and we share symptoms…

It sounds like scare tactics to me. They haven’t tested the meds and are commenting on the possibility of them not being up to snuff. If they haven’t tested the meds it doesn’t seem to be very scientific on their part. You’d figure a knowledgable expert would do some clinical research before speaking about possible problems. Twinvir has been tested here and passed. Lesovir-C is made by Beximco and they are a drug company with FDA approval. Hmmmm. I guess we will all have to wait and see.

Good to hear that you are feeling better and energetic. I am in week 7 now and some days I still feel energised and other days not so much. But through the ups and downs I still feel waaaaaaaaaaaay better than b4 I started tx.

    Hey Price,
You know and I know that fasting blood sugars at 126 would be considered diabetes. I just found it odd that in an article being so specific with all their facts that they only wrote “A pre-treatment glucose level of less than 126 mg/dL” with no mention of when. I know that people without diabetes only get their sugars checked in the morning before eating (fasting blood sugars), but to not include that in their article got me a bit curious, I guess. I makes me wonder what other details of the article could be glossed over or even not accurate.
    Ken

I assume that they are talking about fasting blood sugars when they speak of 126 as the pre-treatment glucose level. 126 is not even close to be considered diabetes up to 2 or 3 hours after a meal. Funny that they weren’t more specific about that in the article. Makes me suspiscious..

I checked this morning before eating and yesterday before eating and 2 hours after eating. My sugars never varied from 80 to 90, except that today, after exercise which was after breakfast, it went down to 64. This kind of hipoglycemia is kind of typical for me. I generally eat a tablespoon of honey before I exercise and today I didn’t. My bad.
Only really specific thing I can say is that for me, my sugars have been lower since I started tx. I REALLY watch my diet and count carbs like an obsession. I even had some extra carbs before bed (a big granola bar with 20 grams of carbs) to see if my morning reading would be affected. It was nice and low in the morning (80).
If you have a specific way you think I should check my sugars for the good of this group discussion I will happily turn my fingers into pin cushions for a few days. just let me know what times of the day you would like to see.
    Cheers,
    Ken

Well I got all curious yesterday and pricked my fingers to check my sugars about 10 times. I am almost 6 weeks into tx with diabetes type II. No meds, just diet and exercise. I was +/- 80 (4.4 for those with the other measurement system) all day long and this morning before eating.
I don’t know what that is worth as far as this thread goes, but I figured I contribute the info anyways…

My BP has been jumping around quite a bit sice i started tx. But only the systolic reading. Jumping between 100 and 140 almost from minute to minute. The diastolic is steady between 75 and 80. Weird, but I don’t know if i should take meds or not. Would you guys take BP meds if your pressure was jumping between 100/75 to 140/80 a lot of the time?

I have type II diabetes and my sugars have been extra low during tx. Suffering more from hypo than hyperglycemia. I take no meds for the diabetes. I just control it with diet and exercise. I check my bloods a fair bit.
I just figured that the diabetes was being at least partially caused by my liver, not my pancreas, and the low numbers were a result of tx. Hmmmm.

Hey psavic, where are you from? I am here in the middle of Mexico and I thought the doctors and testers HERE were useless. Seems like where you are makes Mexico pretty good. Maybe at some point you should consider going to a 1st world country to get checked and tested. I go to Canada sometimes and get my fibroscans done there. I feel for you brother…
