I just had another thought.
Forum member mgalbrai, (real name Mike, in the US,) has advised some people on jumping through the importation hoops. You can also search his posts here on the forum.
I think this is his email:
Curehcvnow@gmail.comAnd if that doesn’t work, Greg Jefferys has been though all this many, many times and can probably advise you. His blog is here:
http://hepatitisctreatment.homestead.com/
His Facebook is here:
https://www.facebook.com/greg.jefferys
His email is:
GregJefferys@outlook.comThat depends on who you ordered from.
Do not just sit and wait. The longer you just wait, the more likely they’ll destroy your product.A
If you ordered through one of the Redemption trials you want to have your contact at Monkmed chase the problem down for you since they guarantee shipment and have dealt with these problems in the past. I’m assuming that would still be Tim at Monkmed.B
If you ordered direct from one of the Bangladesh manufacturers, contact them for copies of the documentation. You’ll also need a copy of your prescription if you have one.Determine whether or not the proper documents were provided in electronic form for customs along with the shipment.
You’ll need to contact customs yourself and provide them with proof that you should get the medicine. If the electronic form was provided, point them to it. If not, you’ll have to get them paper copies.
Others can advise you better than me on that exact process.
If you cannot convince them to give you the medicine, you want them to at least ship it back to the sender, not destroy it.
C
If you ordered from Bull Pharma, contact them similar to the Bangladesh companies, and see what documents or declarations they included with the shipment … both electronic form and paper form. Again in this case you’ll probably have to fight customs yourself, so you’ll need the documents for what the product is, why you need it, and your prescription.D
If you ordered from some random site from India Mart you can try the same as the previous two examples, but in all probability they tried to ship with deceptive documents and you may well be out of luck. However, you should still try at a minimum to get them to return the product to the shipper. (And track it back to either get your money back or try another shipping round.)Others can probably tell you more details than I can.
Keep us informed how it’s going, and good luck.
13 August 2017 at 4:08 pm in reply to: HCV Treatment Options 2017/2018: What’s Here and What’s Coming #26742Okay, some questions …
First:
For Genotypes 2,4,5,6 they are not recomending Sof/Dac. Is this due to inferiority or has BMS simply not persued approval? Are the recomendations the same in Europe? For people in these genotypes who need generics, is there any reason to not choose the Sof/Dac combo?
Second:
Where are we standing now (or soon) on the availabilities of generic forms of the newer combos. (Sof/Vel/Vox, and AbbVie’s combos, etc.)23 July 2017 at 5:11 am in reply to: Investors Business Daily: How AbbVie Could Hammer Gilead … #26628Thanks Hazel.
Little by little I’m getting better at writing my comments such that they get past moderation. Notice my strategically placed appeal to authority.
And the mention of forums and generics and medical tourism seems quite innocently placed, does it not?
But anyone motivated to click on the story would likely be bright enough to hit Google after reading my comment … or at least I hope so.
______________________And while I agree with what everyone is saying about the companies’ greed, we still have to be realistic about this.
We need a change to patent law … That’s not happening in the foreseeable future.
We need to get the word out about generics … Try as we may, our penetration is comparatively small. So while we’re figuring out how to make a bigger impact, all we have for the majority of people is market pressures. And with Gilead, the attempt to protect/defend market share is likely the only thing that will bring any noticable results.
19 July 2017 at 10:03 pm in reply to: Missing Photos? … Photobucket Third Party Photo Sharing #26607It may be that they’ve backtracked and set that policy now, but according to multiple news sources it’s not what they did initially, and I haven’t found any statement to that effect.
They gave no warning that the new policy was coming. Initially, not only did they block the third party links, but many commenters say they also blocked the users’ access to their own photos until the $399 was paid! (As of an hour ago, I still have access to mine.)
Here are three stories on it:
Ziff Davis, (tech magazine publisher) … http://www.zdnet.com/article/photobucket-endures-user-backlash-after-breaking-images-with-ransom-demand/
Denver Post, (PB is a Denver based company) … http://www.denverpost.com/2017/07/06/photobucket-complaints-over-charging/
Any rumors (or guesses) about pricing from our lovely Bangladeshi competitors?
Thanks.
1 – Now we’ll see if AbbVie has the string pulling abilities of Gilead … I doubt it.
3 – Okay, makes sense now.2 – Hmmm. Getting a combination approved for treatment without the use of an NS5B has to mean that:
a – That’s got to be some damn good medicine ….
b – It’s got to make Gilead nervous ….
c – There should be some downward price pressure on NS5Bs …
__________Edit: Especially seeing as it’s only an 8 week treatment!
__________I suspect that any doctor working within the financial constraints of health insurance plans or government funded programs will prescribe it that way if it’s approved that way …. but …
I have a difficult time believing that any doctor prescribing generics to people who can/will self-pay would forgo the extra help of an NS5B.
Edit: Or prescribing for only 8 weeks.
Am I right?
___________Side note: Look up one post, on the right side, in the gray bar.

19 July 2017 at 12:31 pm in reply to: U.S. Food and Drug Administration Approves Voxilaprevir #26600Ummmm …. so somehow Gilead convinced the FDA to sneak in a 21 day head start on Beacon?
Okay, what am I missing here?
According to this article …
https://hepatitiscnewdrugs.blogspot.com/2017/07/hepatitis-c-genotype-3-fda-approved-and.html
… Gilead filed for approval of Vosevi (Sof/Vel/Vox) on Dec 8, 2016 and is scheduled for decision on August 8, 2017.
And AbbVie filed for approval of MAVIRET (glecaprevir/pibrentasvir) on Dec 19, 2016 and is expected to get a decision on August 2, 2017.
First, why the discrepancy in timelines?
Second, are they giving Maviret with an NS5B or not?
Third, why no mention of the timeline of Merck’s product? So …
FDA approval date will be August 8 …
… and …
Alibaba already shows a trading company, Zhejiang Chemicals, listing three different intermediates …Therefore …
Beacon should have Magicavir* available on August 10.
(Okay, maybe not quite that fast.)Recent history suggests it won’t be long now Splitdog. I bet Dr. Freeman actual has a pretty good idea of when it will be. In any case, we’re cheering for you Splitdog.
_______________* my entry in the naming contest.
_______________I’ve been curious about the nomenclature, and the obvious just struck me ….
NS5B RNA polymerase inhibitors …. the “B” = buvir
NS5A inhibitors … the “A” = asvir
NS3/4A protease inhibitors … the “P” in Protease = previrUmmmm …. clarification please.
Do you mean you are at 24 weeks after end of treatment (EOT) or do you mean you just finished a 24 week treatment? My reading is the latter.
But even if my reading is correct, the odds that you’re cured are extremely high, especially considering that you did 24 weeks for G2 with only F2. I don’t remember anybody going that long for G2.
_________________Edit: I just found your post for when you started treatment, so can see it’s 24 EOT.
_________________Just be aware, all of us have experienced those same nagging questions. Sometimes it takes a while for the mind to accept major life changes. Frankly, the brain has to remap its picture of reality. But it will happen, give it time.
And congratulations!
Here’s another site using the “Fix Hep C” phrasing. This one is actually for a legitimate purpose, but you’d think they could come up with original wording.
Based on your familiarity with those two labs, I assume you’re aware of this site, but there’s a phone number to call if you want a test not on their list.
(I used their service for my 12 week EOT)
(88 732-2348However, if you’re willing to pay for a test out of pocket, have you tried simply going to a walk-in clinic and asking to have the test done?
Understand, for an insurance company to pay for the test they’ll likely require a specialist’s signature … but if you’re paying yourself, the lab shouldn’t care who ordered the test.
I’d be more inclined to suspect that the old treatment interfered with the body’s ability to regenerate.
I also wonder whether the body might respond to the rapid virocide by pumping out various hormones …. specifically, I’m wondering if the big energy bump at 2-6 weeks (and the early waking, weird dreams, etc.) might be from something like a big boost in HGH.
Is that even possible?
Ya, I seem to remember some of the first people here were you, dointime, panamajo and Nadia. I know PanamaJo has treated successfully. Do you have any word on Nadia and dointime?
And yes, I really think the dental issues were also related to the hep.
