Hmmm …. I didn’t know the Sydney Pharmacies were ordering in the Indian meds. I thought they were just doing the APIs. Good to know.

I only know this is the list I was given. I would contact Parvez to ask specifically about Serbia, but I think the primary concern there is the customs regulations, not Incepta’s policies per se.

But notice … Romania, right next door, is on the list.

    Where there’s a will there’s a way.

    Hi Dilrabo,

    UNDETECTED!!! YAY!!!

While it would be nice to see a quantitative test with lower detection levels (generally 15 copies/mL, one I’ve read is 5 copies/mL) since you are only 3 weeks into treatment, even using a test with a 50 copies/mL threshold is a great result.

Hopefully Dr. Freeman will see this and have an answer about your platelet count, but from what I read Mayo considers normal to be a range of 150-450, and says numbers outside that range “may be a side effect from medication.”
    http://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/complete-blood-count/basics/results/prc-20014088

In any case 402 is just barely outside your lab’s range, so while you do want answers there should be no reason to be anxious about it yet.

My platelet count went up from 208 to 260 and my blood work wasn’t until 6+ weeks into treatment.

    Mylan
    http://www.mylan.in/en/

Like the Cipla website, Mylan’s site is not set up for consumers/patients to find information about specific drugs or distribution channels. Stlll looking for trustworthy retail sources.

Mylan is the authorized reseller of Gilead’s Sovaldi brand (Sofosbuvir) and presumably soon also Harvoni (Sofosbuvir/Ledipasvir.)

Contractually they are limited to only allowing delivery of a single 28 tab bottle, with the next order given on return of your empty bottle.

    Don’t play their game.

There is no reason whatsoever to believe that the Gilead branded product is in any way superior.

    Available Generic Products:

    MyHep (Sofosbuvir 400mg)
    28 tab bottles

No, I think any source will be able to sell you just what you need.

All the Indian manufacturers sell in 28 pill bottles. The Bangladeshi manufacturers sell in either 28 pill bottles or in packets of 4, 6, or 8 pills depending on medication and manufacturer, so you might end up buying 2-4 extra pills. And the Compounding Pharmacies will make whatever quantity you need.

It is definitely available, I’m just not aware of anybody yet determining which is the best place to try to get it, any price info, or independently testing the product.

But if it becomes a vital need someone will get those answers, count on it.

    Hmmm …. Gotta be Costco.
    Well, at least they’re trying …. it’s $3000 cheaper than Rite-Aid.

Not yet … that I know of … just getting the thread ready. The bigger issue is finding the trustworthy distributors. Haven’t got that yet either. I’m going to have to do some digging.

Ya, I know about decision making and brain fog … been there.

The extra hurdles refers to the fact that his middlemen aren’t publishing their financial payment info. People send the money to Greg and Greg forwards it to their accounts … they ship after verifying payment. This to keep their identities hidden because they are activists not regular middlemen. (as I understand it anyway.)

But in this case, if people are equally confident in the manufacturers, the real issue will be who do they trust as the distributors/middlemen. And you’ll notice that the Bangladesh companies appear to be handling their own shipping while the Indian companies likely will not. And so far I only know of Greg Jefferys’ pipeline for Hetero … there have to be many, many other reliable sources for the Indian drugs but I don’t know who they are yet so there are none listed on the companies’ threads so far.

I hope to remedy that soon.

After the middleman issue, I think most people will be first concerned about price, and second about shipping costs and shipping times.

Edit: Of course I realize that there will actually be people who, whether they realize it or not, will select based on packaging attractiveness, cultural perceptions, and other irrelevancies.

Edit II: I’ll try to figure out about Cipla’s products tomorrow. But they could sure make it easier by putting the product info on their website where I could easily find it. And also their contact info. And info about trusted distributors and trusted online stores.

Well, as Alsdad and Chester have said, Greg Jefferys has been getting Hetero’s Sofovir shipped out internationally, but with a couple of extra payment process hurdles, so that affects shipping times I would assume.

I would also assume they’ll be doing the same with the Ledifos. Last I heard Ledifos will be shipping next Wednesday … but can’t confirm.

I’m guessing by “efficient” and “sleepy” you are referring to shipment handling?

I certainly don’t believe there will be any discernible differences between companies in the actual medications. One might use a different sugar in the tab binder? One might use a different sand for quick breakup in the stomach? Who knows, but I doubt it’ll matter.

Edit: I can tell you that in trying to get up a thread for Cipla in the Pharma’s Market section I found Cipla’s website to be totally useless … like it’s only really set up for investor propaganda, not for actual drug marketing. Therefore I didn’t complete a thread for them yet.

Edit too: And the more options the better. They’ll be needed when 160,000,000 people realize the drugs are now available.

I don’t know how they will be handling the price reporting issue … we should know that in a few days.

I don’t yet know exactly how the ordering will take place or even exactly who’s doing this.

But it’s a no questions asked ordering system … no prescription required.
And it will be priced comparable to how our previous APIs supplier, Mesochem, was priced … but with the added bonus of the shipping guarantee.

I don’t know of any shippers yet that guarantee delivery on international orders … do you know of any?

I think that most places that FedEx handles if the country’s customs reject the shipment it is returned to the shipper … so if you can track the return you should at least get your money back.

However …. a new supply line from Hong Kong WILL GUARANTEE DELIVERY!!! Second shipment attempt is FREE. If shipment fails twice there will be a local pick-up option available for the third shipment.

They will be shipping APIs only.

    Begins in two days!!!

    I’m assuming that’s US$395 for a bottle of 28 tablets?

US$1185 for a 12 week treatment is a good price. Makes me wonder how low they can go with the Sof/Dac combo.

The press release about Hetero’s approval was Dec 8. I don’t know if any distributors have the drugs in stock yet. They may have had them for quite a while or they may only have accepted orders outstanding with Hetero waiting to be filled. Either way, as it’s a new drug on the market you should expect hiccups in order fulfillment for a while.

In any case, it likely won’t stop an India distributor from taking your order today if he’s confident that he’ll have the meds in a week or ten days … and it won’t stop a scam company from taking your order either.

The point being, be certain who you’re dealing with. So far we haven’t seen a single case of a legitimate manufacturer whose Hep C drug didn’t meet standard … supply chain integrity is far more likely to be a problem for people ordering internationally … just be careful.

If you do successfully order, please let us know how it turns out as soon as possible. Verified sources are good to know. And then we’ll also want to see your treatment results, so don’t forget to report back regularly.

    Thanks
