Hi Whaemel,

Welcome to the forum. As you’ll see Fixhepc offer a great service and if you start the process now you’ll have the drugs in about 2 weeks. If you haven’t already done it, you need to line up a doctor locally to monitor you while you’re on the meds although a gastroenterologist from Monkmeds will continue to be available throughout your treatment for advice and any questions you have.

Hello Akinia,

You may not need a hospital monitoring service. My GP has been very happy to monitor me and I know of another person who’s been getting the same help from hers.

There are a couple of additional things you could consider: You could take vitamins D and B12. There’s lots of info about this elsewhere on this forum.

Hello Guys,

With regard to taking PPI’s, what about using H2 antagonists instead? I have been doing this. I try to avoid taking any at all, and do not on good days. When I do I leave it for 4 hours after taking sof/dac and take a very small dose, usually 75mg. H2 ants. work less well but do take the edge off reflux, they also have a shorter half life than PPI’s. I would welcome any comment from Dr Freeman.
