When my medications arrived from overseas I worried I would forget to take some. Or that I would take two or more of them on a single day. Memory is not my strength and I am unused to taking pills so I needed to come up with a foolproof plan.

Here is my method, it has worked perfectly and I have taken the right number. By writing the day and date onto each blister, then day-by-day popping them out, not one pill gets left behind. And no double-doses.

I chose to take the Sof/Vel each morning because that is when I am most alert. Also because I mostly get up at the same time each day. Keeping each week’s medication pack in the bag I take everywhere means I have a backstop. Then, if I forget first thing in the morning there is still a chance to take it later on. So far I have not needed to do that, but it is reassuring when I check that day’s date on the blister foil to see it is empty. Also heartening to see the untaken one for the following day. Stepping to SVR one day at a time.
Remember to remember & do not forget to remember
