Not sure if anyone is still reading this forum—most posts seem to be a few years old.

I wanted to report some good news.

I am a little over 4 weeks into treatment and just received my 4 week viral load was undetectable.

I have two small lichen planus lesions one near each elbow. I just looked down at them and the one on my left arm is GONE and the one on my right arm is almost gone.

    Pretty excited!

Hello Hope, welcome to the forum! Congratulations on starting your treatment and on the very encouraging results so far. The medicines are obviously working and let’s hope for SVR12 in a few months. Looking forward to more good news from you, all the best.

    Hello Hope8,

Hep C is known to cause a large range of extra-hepatic effects.

I never cease to be amazed at how many “other” medical conditions simply vanish if when patient’s get rid of their HCV.

    YMMV

Have you seen tremors with HepC?

I have a mild tremor. It was felt to be due to an SSRI, but did not stop off that medication for years. It has been chalked up to Essential tremor, but I wonder if it is HepC.

    Hello Hope,

Having Hep C does not prevent or protect from the other diseases that afflict us so it’s entirely possible your tremor is an essential tremor, but…

If it goes away with the Hep C we will know it must have been related.

It’s a bit unscientific, but fingers crossed it does go away.

    YMMV

And a speedy and complete recovery to you as well if you are also coping with this.
