Hi Fitz
Thanks for posting your progress update.
It sounds like the first week of your treatment is on track … albeit with a few common side effects … feeling better is good news … feeling dramatically better, however, happens in time …
I haven’t been emotional since starting treatment. Until today, that is. I had a tear in my eye while reading what you and Ariel have written. You both have articulately expressed what most of us have experienced to varying degrees while living with HCV and trying to get treatment. It really saddens me when I read how negatively others react to knowing someone has HCV. But we all have experienced it. That’s the beauty of this forum, we can share our experiences with each other, offer support, understanding, advice, and share a joke or two. It’s a great way to normalise what otherwise has been a very isolating and debilitating disease suffered by many for decades.
Don’t dwell on the past, focus on the future, keep thinking positive thoughts, and you’ll be HCV free in no time.
Thanks Fitz … great post mate.
