I'm sure more appointments will appear for next week at some point soon. He's probably booked out this week.
Why not ring and talk to Rusty at GP2U. He let me know when more appointments were listed.

Hi Chejai and Honker,

I had an appointment with Dr Freeman last week to catch up and get my referral for my 4 week blood test which I had today.
Understandably he is harder to get an appointment with because of his workload. What I did was to check in on my GP2U application on my IPAD regularly and then his name suddenly appeared for a few appointment times so I grabbed one.

Hang in there and keep checking the site.

OK checked and Amir does, if you can't get a slot with Dr Freeman try Dr Amir Asghari he treats Hepc patients as well.

Cheers

OMG! How exciting I have booked my appointment with Dr James on Monday. The ball is starting to roll :cheer:

Ok, can someone help me re the time - QLD doesn't have Daylight Savings BUT Tasmania does. If the booking is for 1:00 pm is that QLD-My time or Tasmania - DR's time?

Also, I downloaded the iPad app, initially it had a Video Demo which froze and got nowhere. Now there is no Video button. How do I test the app to see if it will work in the consult?
Did anyone else use the app for their consult?

Feeling very excited now and glad to have taken the plunge because the Hep Nurse - who'd arranged to call me during the Specialist's clinic yesterday - didn't call back, as predicted!
Thanks everyone for the 'push off the fence' I needed ;)

Appreciate any help re the time and video thing.

Times are automatically adjusted by the site so don't worry about that.
I used Skype so I can't help with the other thing.
Good for you taking control!

Well done Chejai I can't help with iPad apps either,l I have one and hate it, can''t wait until it craps itself and I get something different. Just make sure you have a phone with you in case it cracks up during consultation.

QHi Chejai,

Excellent news! So glad you've taken the first step to a new life. :cheer:

Open the app and click on the small Full Site button down the bottom. Then click on the Learn button. From there click the Questions & Answers and the How To buttons. Looks like the most important bit is to log into the virtual waiting room before your appointment time then I suspect the Doc can talk you through the rest when he arrives. Also have a look around the rest of the Full Site bit as there appears to be plenty of info there. Sorry can't be more specific, I just looked at it for just the first time myself and feeling foggy this evening.

Saw my GP the other day and got my last bloods and fibroscan results. Put them in sig. I had fresh bloods including quantitative VL for pre tx levels. Should have those results tomorrow.
My GP was happy to give me past results and order fresh ones, but did not wish to prescribe or monitor. Kinda what I expected.
I have an appointment with Dr. James on Tuesday and hopefully can start treatment really soon after.

I tested the video on GP2U app on my LG G3 Android phone. Seemed to be working ok.

Thanks everyone for your support. Ok the iPad app might be different to Android.
GAJ: there is no Full Site Button, no GP2U Home page. Just opens to Patient Home Page with My Appointment, Prescriptions, Go To Waiting Room,Questionnaire(for personal info) Tools(nothing there), Contact Us and Sign Out.
So, give up on iOS app.

So, I setup webcam on PC, downloaded Chrome webRTC extension. Have no idea what to do from there until I go to Virtual Waiting Room tomorrow.
Zhuk, you used Chrome webRTC didn't you? Is there anything I need to know about set up?

Hi Chejai,

So happy for you, you wont regret treating :cheer:

Wish I could help you with your teky stuff, but not good at that.
Wish I had someone like GAJ at my place.

I talk to Doc on Skype on computer.
That's pretty easy, but I did get my son to set it up for me.
Your son's maybe a bit young?

Good luck.Hope you work it all out.

You'll find talking to Doc James wonderful, he's so nice,& so easy going, not like a lot of other doctors who look down their noses at you.
He's like a real person. :)
