At risk of sounding like even more of a wanker than I normally do, may I say that for me the practice of Yoga has been a refuge in times of crisis.
I don't mean that getting onto the mat calms me down(although it does), I mean that the practice over several years has somehow shifted the way I view the world.
On a physical level, my Yoga practice wasn't enough to keep the Hep C symptoms at bay if I'd practiced more, who knows) but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a contributor to my F0 scan results. Yoga works and rests the organs themselves in a way nothing else can (twists to massage them, inversions to free them from the pull of gravity)
What I mean is that somehow I've become able to see things objectively that I couldn't before (for example observing the destructive rituals that can plague relationships and just not taking part) and to make it through some very tough times and not go completely nuts (toxic individuals asserting their agendas around the deaths of my loved ones). I think for sure it has helped me deal with having Hep C
It has so many benefits, and the more you do it the more you realise just how damn good it is for you and how it helps in every aspect of your life.
