Re Mandatory champers .... considering I will break my zillion year no booze drought, then after the 24 hour flight I will stagger out at Greens Park Station okay? dragging my case with dreadlocks, take a shower, go to a salon and spend thousands of pounds on a makeover, because we roll that way yeah, say hit up Knightsbridge? :silly: :silly: :silly: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Yeah, I reckon we go cray cray. Let's start in London, Harvey Nicks Roof Garden a la Pats and Edina, Two stops, Eurostar then TGV to Nice, champers in Negresco, a stroll along Promenade des Anglais playing dodge the draguers at dusk? :silly: ( How does Ariel know these good champers places?) #flower :P
See LG you've got me dreaming, I can see our convertible whizzing around the road up to Monte Carlo from Nice now...oh gawd lol...we are wearing our flares with your liver on them!

Hello forum
Reporting in after SVR24 etc a while back because I have an important query
Now that's in my past and I have stepped back and re-evaluated my situation after losing my professional career to interferon after the patching up post cure such as $3,500 on teeth that were perfect pre peginf, having all scans and colonoscopy etc blah blah I have realised how much money this has cost me and I am forced to sell my home.

So:

I'm also now extremely tired again in phases
I'm not in a reinfection risk cohort
I'm not a drinker or druggie as a person here once pinned on me very vindictively.

I'm a regular mum and white collar.
Recently I started feeling very tired again
I'm better than before cure but not like a regular person

I'm absolutely positive that peginf has stuffed me up.
The deafness is unbelievable
I suffer such loud tinnitus 24/7 it's like several dog whistles all at once at high decibels it never stops
I still suffer anxiety
My shoulders feel like concrete
I do transcendental meditation which I have practiced for 25 years
I do yoga

I have had periods of emotional feelings since SVR that are most peculiar and unexplained

I hope I haven't got Hep B
I read on here that Harvoni causes hepB !!!!!!!! I want the truth about it please.
I was immunused it came with my professional role. But how do I know if I had had HepB before as I was never tested? I did have a medical procedure in a third world country in the late 80s remember and I got HepC that way they think so how would I know nobody ever checked me.

What are the symptoms?

SO I have been immunised for Hep B but IF I did have it before that and cleared it spontaneously could I have it now?

I would appreciate a straight up answer to this query so I can request a blood test if needed. I will NOT be having one "for my peace of mind" or any other histrionic reason only if this is a real risk a proven risk and my post here is considered respectfully.
Thank you for your consideration of my query.
Wishing all well
Ariel

Harvoni doesn't cause hep B. But, if you have hep B while you are on Harvoni or other DAA it can cause HBV reactivation.
It seems a very very small number of people reported it. I hear nightmare stories of "post interferon treatment" almost daily from various hep C blogs and forums.

Ariel my dear
First off I am feeling so devo for you. It is Not Fair. Hopefully any plans you have come to fruition.
Tommy is right. The DAAs do not cause Hep B. You are not a risk. Doctor James has posted information about this issue that even I could understand. It is a storm in a teacup.
Sending love and hugs

Ariel, don't worry and keep the resistance.
Just solve the problems one-by-one. Job? Get a new one/get yourself into something highly in-demand and interesting.
Undiagnosed disease? Get blood tests done, make a list of appointments to different doctors and undergo diagnostic procedures. If it were hep b, get treated against it. If it is something else, get treated against it. You probably should start with the job, then doctors. I don't have a house and recently got my very first job. It all starts somewhere.
Health is the most valuable thing and one should fight for it. Many people have different health problems and it is normal to withstand difficulties. You will beat this! Just work on it step-by-step.

It is unlikely that you have hep b, because immunization is effective. But get tested. Most likely though, the culprit is something else, so work hard to find it.

Started treatment 13 January 2017
Generic sofosbuvir/velpatasvir (Incepta)
VL 9 days into treatment <300 (undetected)
AST 13.8 ALT 22
Side effects: mild dehydration, not a problem at all if I drink water at night, nothing to worry about
Diet and gastric ph are very important with velpatasvir. One must think what and when to eat to keep gastric pH low. Side effects disappeared 2 weeks after, unless I ate anything < 4hrs before the pill. SVR60.
