15 November 2015 at 2:27 am #3962Hi Everyone
Well to my surprise I have been unable to sign into the hep c australasia forum using my details. Now I could be missing something here not sure. My first thought is that I’ve been blocked out due to some comments regarding Hepatitis Australia etc and always promoting fixhepc buyers? In recent times I have been surprised by the lack of support for generics and the continuous tut tut. I’m not prepared to say 100% that this is what’s happened as they have been working on the site. However if so, I am saddened by this as back in the day it was my main source of information and support while on tx etc and I’ve made many friends through the site. A sad day for me but this is where I need to be and I will not stop promoting this site. Em

15 November 2015 at 2:38 am #3964Could someone who is a member of hep c australasia, try and sign in and advise accordingly ta. I will delete this is I’m mistaken. Em
15 November 2015 at 2:40 am #3965Hmmm, so its not only me, em!
For whatever reason it might be and you are right it could be their site issues. I haven’t been a member there long and really just posted my opinions on the likelihood (or not) of universal PBS access, which is against the ‘Party-line’ I suppose. But your posts have always been straightforward and nothing which could be construed as inflammatory, far as I could see. Unless its a forum-stance to shut down anything positive re the generics, which would be pretty unfortunate. People need to hear there is an alternative, and how well that works.

ALT 2615 November 2015 at 2:48 am #3967Hi Em,
I have not used that site for over a year but I just logged in successfully. Might be the last time though!
15 November 2015 at 2:58 am #3968Thanks Joy, so my comments and sharing have obviously gone against party lines. Em
15 November 2015 at 3:04 am #3969Sorry if this is so, em, and you’ve lost friends and connections there. Did you happen to notice one of their mods joined up here last night?

ALT 2615 November 2015 at 3:08 am #3970Did you have the same username? There’s no em or emilio on their members list.
O well, I’m glad you’re here. Pity we can’t all work together.
15 November 2015 at 3:21 am #3974There’s still a lot of technical problems being ironed out on that site Em, so try again Monday.
15 November 2015 at 5:04 am #3980Yes same name since 2007, but was thinking of moving on given a strong sense that generic access and the promotion of it was being critiqued. Versus people making lists of all of the new meds unavaiable to the world. And lobbying the government to go into 20 billion debt by approving access to all at a price determined by gilead and others. Em
15 November 2015 at 5:47 am #3981Well they are now promoting the new Hepatitis Queensland Fact Sheet: http://www.hepqld.asn.au/images/resources/factsheets/importing_new_hepatitis_c_medications_in_australia.pdf
And if you follow the link on page 2 http://www.bit.ly/ASHMImport then go to HOW TO ORDER GENERIC DAAs FOR HCV ONLINE you finally come to a link to fixhepc.
15 November 2015 at 6:11 am #3983Might be minimal, but that is something positive Joy. And good on QLD for taking a proactive tack compared to other States.

ALT 2616 November 2015 at 1:44 pm #4032Hi Everyone
Well I’ve provided my details to Margo the buyers club PR lady and I have made the decision to put myself out there if asked to tell my story. This disease needs champions and I don’t see too many really. I’ve advised my children, their partners and my close friends that I want to be out to promote access to all hepers and in particular the Aboriginal communities which i live and work in. Em
16 November 2015 at 3:08 pm #4033Damn Em,
You are right in the middle of this too! Looking at your pic, you could be my younger brother
