Sorry to hear of your friend, it must be so difficult being stuck in that situation. While DAAs themselves are unlikely to reduce fibrosis on their own, there is considerable research and clinical trialling going on of other medications that do target fibrosis reduction in the liver and other areas. Some of the research and trials are quite advanced so hopefully we will get some good news soon.

I sort of quoted that part…
“We demonstrate that the cannabinoid receptor CB1 is crucial for leukocyte infiltration and secondary fibroblast activation and that inactivation of CB1 exerts potent antifibrotic effects in inflammation-driven models of fibrosis.”http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20617520
His doctor said “interferon increases the adhesion of fibroblasts to fibronectin ” as the cause of Peyroni’s.

That’s very interesting, but not the complete story imnsho.
Supplements may not fix your liver or reduce your VL but the virus impacts other things as well. Your liver, immune system, digestion etc are compromised and that’s where supplements can help.

This corner of the forum has a lot of relevant info
I’m fussy about biases and dates and so also check who the author is of any links etc but that’s just me.

Great idea. I’m stealing it

Hep C RNA NOT DETECTED”18 May 2016 at 3:17 am #17375The comments posted on that site are useless!
I posted some info about TPP recently. It looks like “they” are going to ignore/suppress info concerning generics. Gilead has a patent! In the 1st world countries, the health systems will not embrace generics for 20 years! They can’t, we have patent laws. All these people pissing and moaning about greedy pharma, while valid, accomplish nothing! It is the clandestine access to generics that is real – why we are all here. Push this site, the Redemption trials or Incepta and their hepatitisctreatment@gmail.com email. As Dr. Freeman has stated, time may be short for access. The mainstream access will be decided by TPP. TPP is a done deal folks. It’s going to happen. My insurance company (Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida) was hoping I would die before they had to give me treatment! They wanted me to wait until I was on the transplant waiting list (F4) Incepta is who helped me! Anyone wanting treatment has to spend their own money and get treatment. $1000 for a cure seems reasonable to me.
18 May 2016 at 3:46 am #17377That’s freedom of the press for you eh GF . Well said, on getting treatment you need, where you can, at a price that makes some sense
