Hi Everyone,
Finished bottle 3 of Hepcivir today. Thank you all for the positive messages and support. Going on a long camping trip in the Western US to celebrate, although Tassie is a hard act to follow. I will wait until 12 weeks EOT to test which will be the end of July. Wishing everyone a positive outcome.
Lots of love,
Honker

HCV UNDETECTED25 April 2016 at 6:09 am #16142Hi Honker,
I stumbled on your thread only now. Great to read your success story, they all give me hope (have just hit week 6 of PBS funded Harvoni and all my LFs are normal for the first time in I don’t know how long).
My eldest son has been living in HK, teaching ESL and I visited him last year. What a fascinating place! I’ll definitely delve more into its culture and history in my future trips.
Hoping you get SVR

Love from Ariel25 April 2016 at 5:03 pm #16160Thanks everyone for the good wishes. I am wishing the same for all of us. I managed to keep the disease at bay for over 20 years with diet and abstinence. Even so, it was effecting me more that I had realized. So now I am looking forward to a nice glass of sherry with my friends in July.
I will keep checking in from time to time. Thanks to everyone.

27 May 2016 at 9:39 am #17885Hi Everyone,
Good news here. I had a liver function test done today and all is in the normal range. It is 4 weeks EOT. While technically, I should have had a viral count done, I am in the US and it is very expensive. So I have decided to wait until 12 weeks EOT to do the full test. Up until I started treatment, my ALT and AST were consistently elevated for 12 years and normalized in week 3 of treatment. Based on my medical history, I am fairly confident that the virus is at bay. I will do a full test in July. Thanks again to everyone for the support and wishing us all success!!
