Hello and good luck to all currently on treatment, including myself!
My burning question is treatment length (non-cirrhotic)- 12 weeks or more on Daklinza/Sovaldi? I can’t seem to find trial results that show different treatment time-frame results. Ie. 16 weeks, 24 weeks as alternatives. Anyone have an idea?
It would be great for those retreating for Genotype 3 to mention their new drug combination and length too, please.
22 November 2016 at 9:18 pm #24402Hi AK123, I was advised by Dr Freeman to extend my 12 weeks tx to 16 or 18 weeks as results suggested better outcomes. This was back in April. So I did 16 wks and have just reached svr 24. I had no cirrhosis and fibroscan score of 2. Hope this helps. Wilko

22 November 2016 at 9:28 pm #24403I’m doing 12 weeks ( finish 28/11/16) I did think about extending treatment… but decided on 12 weeks.
Undetected at 3 weeks into treatment… I had no cirrhosis and fibro scan F124 November 2016 at 1:48 pm #24452Hi AK123, Maybe you could put some more info re your VL pre tx and any previous treatment? Then people with a similar status can tell you of their own experience.
There is a patient called rightsaidfred on this forum, GT3 and they are now now clear, They may be able to advise you, I believe RSF extended over the 12 weeks, just to be sure.
Of course, you can talk to Dr Freeman of FixHepC for advise and Dr Debasis at MonkMed via care@monkmed.com
They are the best in the HepC world with unbiased excellent advise.
I am not GT3 but I was a slow responder and their advise and support was outstanding. (I am currently SVR12 thanks to their EXPERT advise).
Good luck and my advise is, seek advise with these two experts if you have any concerns. It can all be easily done with a telephone or skype appointment.

I have had an informative reply from Dr Freeman (posted under ‘Sovaldi/Daklinza-side-effects and treatment duration’, which has been a marvellous help as well. All the best!
