Is a good idea to take some probiotics on sof/led

Do this meds affect the flora of intestine? Do they kill the good bacteria? Can we take probiotics while on treatment?

Male, Fibro F1. Geno 1b. ALT 67 before treatment Viral load 5 million. My huge viral load replicates in my nervous system as I suffer anxiety.
Started Twinvir 12/12/15.
Two weeks
ALT 17 at 2 weeks
Viral Load UND at 2 weeks
ALT 13.5 at 7 weeks EOT
ALT 10.5 at 15 weeks EOT
ALT 13 at 27 weeks EOT, VL UND, Cured

Hi Enkel I used to use probiotics to help digestion when I was sick with the virus. Bowels were just terrible due I think to autoimmune dysfunction via vagus nerve and brain, not exactly sure of the mechanism. I seemed to be intolerant of several foods. I stopped taking the probiotics as my gut came good 3 days into sof/dac. bowels have been great since then and I am gaining weight. I doubt the meds are detrimental to gut flora. Now I can eat all the foods I used to be intolerant of when sick with virus.

3 years cured, Sof/Dac, thanks Doc Freeman, hepc only a distant memory, go for it ppl

Hi Enkel, I see your viral load has dropped from 5 mill to 17 in only 2 weeks. CONGRATULATIONS!

Any change with your anxiety?

Re the probiotics I take one cap daily, wasn’t planning on changing that during tx.

It was ALT 17 from 55 the upper limit, AST 20

Viral Load after New Year I guess. I dont know why so much delay, maybe the vocations

ALT and AST values close to both of us. The same upper limit to ALT.
It’s hard to wait so long! But at least we have good results at LFT.
I believe that we will succeed!
