Hello ,
I have been very wakeful and energised around midnight and eg now near 3 and still feel awake, after sof/led. Try to restrict my tv / computer time but not strict enough with myself. if possible i would sleep to midday and go with it but wonder if anyone else has sleep cycle out of wack.
Great so many are UND. I cannot afford the path to check if now UND.
Thank you peeps taking time to write on here.30 April 2016 at 9:52 pm #16453Hi Anna,
My clock tells me it is 3:50 am where I am now and I rarely manage to ‘catch up’ fully.
I also often see people on here at strange times for the timezone they are in so this seems to be a common issue on Tx. Dr James posted some suggestions that you may consider here http://fixhepc.com/forum/experts-corner/598-how-do-i-fix-my-insomnia.html#8330

I used to get that alot Bob, still do occasionally, also wake up in a sweat. I used to get it at other times too, particularly when I reached up for something and had to stretch. This has improved since on treatment.
I was concerned about it. I told my new NHS “consultant” about it (allocated after my old consultant retired) . He said “It’s nothing to do with the liver, see your GP” and other such stuff. The GP did a heart ECG but it came back ‘normal’.
I emailed my previous consultant , he said ‘Get an UltraSound’ – It showed nothing either, (although looking at that ancient NHS screen, I’m surprised they could see anything at all!). When I had the new amazing LiverMultiscan, it showed more fibrosis in that area. It all made sense to me somehow.

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC1 July 2016 at 2:33 am #20205Hi Bob,
It would be a good idea to have a checkup.
It is also useful to take your pulse and record the rate on your phone by saying now now now every time you feel a beat. Different rhythms are diagnostic of different issues.
YMMV
1 July 2016 at 2:41 am #20206I’m wondering, and have been some time, if with rapid resolution of inflammation of the tissues directly inside and outside of the liver including portal vein, connective tissues, etc. are somewhat compressed or stressed as the liver shrinks a bit, leading to higher pressure within the portal vein itself along with liver pain(?), until the body adjusts to the ‘new normal’?
8 July 2016 at 7:33 am #20692I have never slept more than 2 hrs at a time since first feeling very unwell -20 odd years ago. It doesn’t bother me as I fall asleep watching t.v. during the evening. The other thing since being unwell I’ve noticed I almost always fall asleep directly after eating a meal. Even straight after breakfast, before I finish my coffee!!.
Since starting treatment 53 days ago I find myself feeling wide awake around 1 to 2 am after dozing in front of television since dinner.
Another side effect? I have noticed my vision is blurry at times, I wear specs for long distance sight but dont need them to read.
Speaking of -Reading was once my fav pastime but since being unwell I can’t read more than 4 pgs before falling asleep.
Anybody else had the blurred vision since starting treatment?
All in all I feel better on treatment, nothing hugely dramatic yet -although I’m sure my head is clearer.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY -
