Ok so I need to know if everyone who has posted on this thread is cool with me sending Felonuis Monk a pm via facebook of this thread?
I think he’d be rather inspired with it
BTW this is his Twitter profile pic – I really like this guy.
Be cool to get a Fix Hep C logo in the palm – then another pic of the Gilead logo on the bottom Then a cool blurb at the top Generic’s VS Gilead as an example. Im sure there is enough collective thought to come up with something catchy.

In fiecare an HCV ucide peste 500000 oameni.Medicamentele generice pentru hepatita C functioneaza. Nu deveni statistica! Cauta pe Google “medicamente generice pentru hepatita C”.
HCV kills more than 500000 people every year. HCV generic drugs work. Don’t become a statistic.

26 August 2016 at 4:44 am #22539Great idea Tina. I love Felonious Monk and his rants and I’m pretty impressed with your lead in words/lyrics! It would be pretty powerful to connect the two!
26 August 2016 at 4:57 am #22542Thanks Coral
Ive got a couple of verses in my head which I was thinking of posting up however without the expression and nuances it will lose its punch.

12 Month Labs= UND1 September 2016 at 9:38 am #22710Hey guys,
I have a relative living in Russia who happens to be a respiratory specialist. She works in a few hospitals and clinics etc. She’s the type of doctor that will go out of her way to help. I know that she’s seen quite a few patients come through who happen to have HCV and it’s devastating because access to any treatment (even interferon ) is limited.
SO… I want to somehow help. What can I do? Is there an option of receiving generics in Russia or would it involve travelling to a nearby country? If I can pass on some information to her, I feel like it would help so many people, but I’m not sure where to start.

I like this idea, Cheese, think I will borrow it and spread the word, if you don’t mind. I can think of two clinics that are in my area, one is Harm Reduction Services and the other one is a free clinic downtown, not really free but close to it. Anyways, both have plenty of HepC patients who don’t have any insurance whatsoever and would be really happy to hear they could possibly get treatment without the likes of Gilead in the picture!!! Not only that, the medical staff would want to hear about this as well, The doctors who work there care more about helping patients, than any regulations set forth by Big Pharma or insurance companies. I’m sure they would allow the information to circulate freely in their waiting rooms. ~Cheers!!

12 Month Labs= UND1 September 2016 at 12:33 pm #22720Hi Peach,
Probably, you can refer russian-spoken people to the big russian-spoken HCV-forums – http://hv-info.ru/gepatit-forum , http://hcv.ru/forum . These forums have channels for importing indian generics into Russia. Usually, indian generics are delivered into Russia from India via EMS speed post.
Probably infected in 1977
2005 – diagnosed with HCV 1b, compensated F4, 15 mln viral load, ALT 320
2005-2006 – PegIFN/rib 48 weeks treatment, relapse
2016 – compensated F4, MELD 8-9, ALT 100-160
2018 – compensated F4, MELD 8, ALT 911 September 2016 at 2:49 pm #22725Peach wrote:Hey guys,

If Russia doesn’t block meds through Customs, then Monkmed will get the delivery done. There was a page that listed all the countries that Redemption had patients in, I can’t find it right now, but check out the link. It explains everything involved in getting into the clinical trial. This is an fda approved clinical trial, all drugs are tested before delivery. You have to supply your own doctor to order blood tests and answer questions, maybe even write a prescription, I don’t know all the particulars. The link has the whole story, my guess is your relative in Russia could help a lot. good luck

Peach, Serg has given some good links. This is another Russian forum with similar goals to us. It also has doctors prescribing.
YMMV
3 September 2016 at 11:35 am #22776Wonderful, I have passed on information about the ILC 2016 presentation, fixhepc, REDEMPTION and http://gepatitka.ru/

svr12 – NOT DETECTED!5 September 2016 at 12:07 pm #22802Sorry Have not been active on this forum for awhile but have been active in telling my story to all that will listen via Facebook, in person, at needle exchange places in Boston and several other communities. Also participated in the redemption data collecting and also in a generic med study that was referred to me by Greg J. Sometimes I have been a bit disheartened that my story about generics and the buyers club does not seem to rev people up, but I know I made a difference in at least two peoples lives that were/are infected and had no idea about the generics that are available. My goal was to reach at least one person.
A bit of news from the lab in Bangkok this morning since my first blood test post treatment on August 29th 2016
HCV RNA (quantitative) result HCV RNA not detected.
Physically I feel like the clock has been turned back five years to when I last felt normal. Am off on a motorcycle trip through Burma in early December, yes things are back to normal.
Have never met any of you folks on this forum in person but I can unequivocally say that I have the utmost respect for all of you. Your grit, determination, courage and humour in the face of this horrible virus and the horrible people that profit from it will prevail.
Cheers
