Hi all
I have come across an interesting substance for treating liver disease, Squirrel feces, a chinese medicine. Apparently it is widely used in chinese medicine and is TGA approved. In fact all batches are tested by the TGA for any impurities. Is anyone else using/have used it? I wonder what the Doc thinks of it? kindly Berrinice

Do you have any links particularly to the TGA approval?

15 March 2016 at 12:16 pm #13861No I don’t have any TGA links. A teaching college supplies it through their student clinic and my friend told me what the qualified teaching Dr said. TGA approved and each batch tested. I don’t think they would prescribe it if its not TGA approved. The college has a long standing professional name to protect.
But if anyone can find it as an approved medicine I would really appreciate it. The chinese name is Wu Ling Zhi or squirrel feces. kindly B15 March 2016 at 12:23 pm #13864Squirrel feces? hmy: Can’t say that sounds v appealing especially first thing in the morning !

15 March 2016 at 1:10 pm #13870Okay, the squirrel species is Trogopterus xanthipes Milne-Edwards.
There has been some science done on its droppings though I couldn’t find any references to the liver.

So not as off the wall as it sounds although I suspect TGA approval would be either an extract or synthesis of one of the chemicals present (possibly isopimarane diterpene?) rather that the squirrel poop itself. ick:' />

Wu Ling Zhi is currently banned in the U.S.
Given that, there might be something to it……

Squirrel Feces? Maybe 20 years ago it could be a help.
I recommend Twinvir
or Sofosbuvir & Daclatasvir / Ribavirin depending on your situation! Contact GP2U.com
The upside would be you don’t need an RX for Squirrel Feces.
16 March 2016 at 4:33 am #13911Well, if your in the U.S., you would have to smuggle in your Chinese flying squirrel scat, because the FDA has a ban on it.
I wonder if you can smoke it?
Something about eating tree rat droppings…
even those with a pilot’s license…

Which says they need to be on the ARTG (Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods)
The ARTG is here:
Click the “Public TGA Information” link on the left, then the “Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods”
Try as I might I can’t find “Wu Ling Zhi” listed…..
