That’s great fusion, Meg! Not surprising Flamenco lends itself so well to Keltic rhythms. Kelts are native to the Iberian peninsula. Flamenco has its roots in India and the middle east. The mix of keltic rhythms, and eastern influences is a little mind blowing – but there it is. Saw this music on FB during my brief stay there, and loved it!

Very interested in seeing that information, RoH. Hopefully, it is effective and will be affordable.

That would really be the 1-2 punch. Cure Hep C, and reverse liver damage!

Gut punch, Gaj. For sure. You G3’s have a tougher path.

Know that my thoughts, my prayers, my energy are with you and for you to beat this. You are surrounded by love, and support, and best of all – a really, really excellent team here.

I too believe you will beat this.

Beware the columnist. Might I suggest you ask to see what they write before they publish?[/quote]

This is good advice, although if possible researching the columnist needs to be done in advance. A real journalist will never let anyone but their editor read or preview what they will publish in advance.

The other thing to bear in mind is that finding a so called ‘progressive’ news outlet is not the only option. Big Pharma pretty much owns the ‘progressive’ media in the US because they run ads with them continually. Most of the ads I see here in the US appear in progressive media outlets, so keep your options open.

There isn’t much conservative media in the Boston area, but you might consider reaching out to them as well. We don’t really care about what we think their politics are.The important thing is to get to media outlets with maximum market share to get the truth out (although I wouldn’t advise going to another journalist until you know whether or not your columnist will go with the story).

You have a very compelling story to tell, and surely someone will want to tell it. Good luck, and thank you!

Last week I remember seeing an older post in which someone had in an extremely thoughtless way, expressed doubt about the devastating effects interferon therapy can wreak physically, spiritually, and psychologically. This thoughtless post had been directed at Ariel.

I remember thinking to myself in response to the idiot post, “This lady (Ariel) has been through absolute hell at the hands of her doctors, and her family. In what parallel universe do you get to pass judgement on her pain, and life experiences?”

Interferon therapy can be a special kind of isolating hell for those who have endured it. To endure it without support, or worse under the ignorant and withering judgement of people who have no idea what it is like or how it feels, can be particularly isolating and traumatic.

When I had to stop Interferon because I was turning a really bad corner, my Gastroenterologist’s opinion was clear. In his mind, the problem was me, not the medication. If only I had stayed on another six months. If only I had another easier to treat genotype, blah, blah, blah. I never went back. Never looked back. There were no answers there, only sickness, failure, and judgement.

I’m with you, Beaches. Interferon again? I’d rather die. So glad I found Dr James, FixHepC, and the REDEMPTION trials.

Well, your viral load is down from about 4.5 million to 147. Not an expert, but I’d say that’s a HUGE improvement, and your treatment is working.

I’ll tell you what they said when I talked to the G.I. Doc’s office yesterday. “You are well on your way. Just keep taking your medication and don’t miss any doses. You’re doing great!”

Sabrecat…. what a gut punch, brother. You’re in the right place though. Thank god for that. New treatments are becoming available, and you ‘re a fighter. My money’s on you to whip this.

So, my specialist’s office called today. Viral load is way down from the rosy 5,500,000 or so reported earlier this year. 4 week labs show a viral load of 35 (Thirty Five).

Getting printouts is like pulling teeth. I had to call the lab directly today and have the results mailed. Will post here when I get the hard copy in my hand

I checked VL results from thirteen months ago (around the time I was put on a waiting list for a YEAR). Result was much higher then. Over 9 million.

    From 06/05/15:

Thanks GT2, Ariel, Matt, Sven, LG – all ya’ll!

Will not hesitate to seek the services of a plastic surgeon if required. MOHS surgeon said nose looked good. Will see how swelling and scarring resolves. :)

Ugh. Just barfed for the second time since early this afternoon. Both times after taking Arnica tabs for swelling. Reloaded my BP med and swore off Arnica. Don’t think my body likes opiates either. BP med and DAA are essential. The rest i can do without.
