Glad you revived this thread, RHF. Coming up on SVR 12 labs next week, and have been doing my best not to think too much about it.

For the most part doing a fair job of it, but those nagging doubts do eat at us a little, don’t they?

Not quite assured of being cured yet, but ever hopeful, Nadia

One thing is quite certain, and that is without FixHepC, I would still be hopeless, and helpless, cast adrift and dying. Literally – dying.

We don’t quite appreciate how sick we are until we get here, breathe a sight of relief, and compare notes. Perhaps that is a good thing.

We are blessed to find our way here.

Such a simple choice – ‘live or die’. We CHOOSE to live or die.

The concept of ‘generics’ or branded is so arbitrary. Really, the choice is simply ‘I choose to live, or I choose to die”.

Does this really happen? After decades of being sick with HCV?

You bet it does! It absolutely happens. It happens to us, to you and I. After decades of hopelessness, physical decline – we get well. WE GET WELL.

HCV is gone. Blood tests go from ab-normal to NORMAL. Liver function tests go from ‘wildly out or range’ to ‘normal’. Normal!

GOD! How long has it been since we heard THAT!

Hah! We completely beat the odds. How awesome is that!

Insurance companies, Obamacare, and, most especially Gilead – all ya’ll can crawl right up on all fours and kiss our newly cured asses!

We did it all with the help and guidance of Dr. Freeman (Australia), and Dr. Debasis (India).

Well, once we are free of HCV, our ALT, AST numbers are (sort of) completely up to us.

We can live like monks, or debauch like Romans. Completely our choice…….

The point is – we’re free!
