Getting tired after eating is normal. You’ve probably seen the lions having a kip under a tree after a kill – it’s a very primal thing.
Being alert when you’re hungry is also normal – makes sense to be at your peak so you can hunt and kill food.
Smaller meals, on the ketogenic side – more protein/fat/veg and less carbs will almost certainly help.
On the carbs front it surprises people that potatoes can cause more of a blood sugar peak than pure sugar.
The blood sugar hit is also called the “Glycaemic index” – Google it!
Some examples of the GI rating of various carbohydrates include:
- low GI (less than 55) – soy products, beans, fruit, milk, pasta, grainy bread, porridge and lentils
- medium GI (55 to 70) – orange juice, honey, basmati rice and wholemeal bread
- high GI (greater than 70) – potatoes, white bread and short-grain rice.

Have we thought about contacting Law enforcement about this guy for false representation he
used his own name and suggested he is linked to usI’m not normally a dobber, but for this guy I’ve made and exception, so…..
Yes, I filled in a cybercrime form with his details. As you can see from the ABC story he has a track record of selling non existent stuff to vulnerable people and is in court for it. Does not seem to be slowing him down much…..

I agree with LG……since reading about Professor Gane’s comments (not just on this thread) I have been worried. Up until I read the thread I wasn’t. I have no doubt that the meds were tested properly before I received them but the niggling doubt that I may relapse has now been planted. I I think I will stop reading for a few weeks until I get my first lot of post treatment results back (3 weeks’ time.

That’s great news CJ…so glad he is doing so well

Oh Ariel I had no idea how you had suffered….I’m so sorry. At four weeks already……you will be a new person woman! Good for you taking on the system.
Pat I am so sorry for your loss.
Those on this Forum are so strong and I admire each and every one of you.

Congratulations Desley. Very glad to hear you are feeling so much better.

Congratulations Em for your EOT. Thank you for support and advice throughout my journey (which goes for all on the Forum of course). Seems there are quite a few of us now just waiting for the post 4 and 12 weeks result. Look forward to seeing all the positive results.
Cheers Lynne

Tommy I’m sure Michael was not judging how people acquired the virus, just saying that he unknowingly donated blood and those needing transfusions and the recipients of his infected blood were innocently infected through no fault of their own. I have no idea how I got HCV, I have never had a blood transfusion never used IV drugs, therefore I would assume I innocently acquired it through someone else’s carelessness i.e. dirty dental/surgical equipment, tattooist……and I will probably never know. As Chejai said, this site if for support of those with HCV and no-one is judgmental of others.
I have just finished 12 weeks treatment with Sof/Led and hopefully heading toward SVR in 12 weeks.

Maybe we could all band together and nominate Dr Freeman for Australian of the Year 2017!!!!!

Glad to hear your side effects are very few. I also felt my energy levels come back very quickly. Insomnia was my main side effect but for about the last 4 weeks I have been able to go back to sleep again when I woke up. Enjoy beautiful Hobart

What many people don’t realise about Tassie is that it’s much easier to get burnt than you think.
If you look at the UV index for Hobart
http://www.bom.gov.au/tas/uv/hobart.shtml
And then for Sydney
http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/uv/sydney.shtml
You can notice several things. Yes the extreme period for Sydney from 12-2 is a little wider but other the very high and high periods are very similar.
The significant thing is that because it’s cooler in Hobart so easier to be out in the Midday sun, whereas in Sydney the heat encourages you to seek shade.

When people hear about how many US Veterans are infected with HCV (1/4 of a million) they tend to jump to the usual stereotype of IVDU.
It’s probable that the majority of Veterans were given HCV via the use of Jetguns to immunise them.

Hi All,
So the sample eventually arrived and has been tested:
Hi James
Your recent Sofosbuvir sample is identical to all other Sofosbuvir spectra recorded here. Spectrum attached.
Cheers
Here is the NMR spectrum on it:
All very reassuring.

Congress should be more outraged about a treatment that:
- Not only the VA can’t afford
- But where the VA and Uncle Sam paid for the basic research
